「This property could be great but it is not being kept up by the owners. When we showed up it had not been cleaned and the pool was green. There were also about a hundred wasps flying around in March, one of our party was stung. We reached out to VRBO and were able to cancel and go somewhere else but we lost a day of our trip trying to coordinate it. 「This formerly independent hotel was just purchased by a major name brand a few weeks before our stay, and they were right in the middle of the major makeover while we were there. The hotel is in desperate need of updates, deep cleaning, and repairs, which they were working on, but there was junk everywhere, doors, mattresses, & appliances lining the hallways & lobby, construction noise early in the mornings, etc. I get it, they're working on it, but our stay was definitely not typical.
