Sehr gute ruhige Lage

Sehr gute Lage um den Lago Maggiore mit dem Auto oder mit dem Schiff zu erkunden. Ruhig gelegen und zu Fuß in 5-10 Minuten alle Restaurants, Bars und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten erreichbar.

more than expected

it was a pleasant surprise! a lake view penthouse with fantastic design and decorated by hand made painting. very clean and comfortable. got an good idea of Italian style. not suitable for elderly since there is no elevator.

Attenzione alla colazione

Camera pulita MA NON VIENE SERVITA LA COLAZIONE. Si deve andare in un bar a 5 minuti dal b&b e la colazione compresa e' bevanda (caffe', cappuccio, te') e brioches. Qualunque altra richiesta e' da pagare a parte!! Ci han fatto pagare l'acqua!! Situazione davvero sgradevole: all'atto della prenotazione, dovevano essere indicate con precisione le modalita' della colazione.

Insetti tra le coperte

Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti in questo B&B. Purtroppo la prima notte è stata totalmente rovinata dalla presenza di numerosi insetti simili a zecche all'interno della camera e in particolare tra le coperte del letto. Per la seconda notte la proprietaria ci ha gentilmente cambiato stanza ma non penso torneremo più. Esperienza a dir poco spiacevole

Leuke dagen gehad en deze accommodatie. Zit echt midden in het centrum en bijna aan de boulevard. hartelijke ontvangt gehad van de eigenares. Echt voor herhaling vatbaar!

Lovely bnb

Lovely welcoming staff. The room was cleaned daily and the balcony was great for relaxing with a bottle of wine! The breakfast was in a great place in the main square.

SERATA PRE-MATRIMONIO ROVINATA IRREPARABILMENTE!!!

Mia sorella aveva il piacere di stare un'ultima sera in una struttura "familiare",tutti insieme,pertanto questo B&B con tre sole camere era l'ideale. Un mese prima del matrimonio ricevo una telefonata da parte della direzione,la titolare era convinta che dovessimo presentarci lì,ma poi le ho spiegato che la prenotazione era per il 10/7 e non per il 10/6! Alchè agitatissima ha detto che per le mie date aveva già prenotato ad altri,e si era dimenticata di togliere l'annuncio da hotels.com. Quindi chiamo hotels.com e dopo una serie di telefonate mi dicono che non c'è problema,la proprietaria ha assicurato di aver sistemato i suoi ospiti altrove e che noi avremmo pernottato regolarmente allo Stresa B&B. Sabato 9 Luglio arriviamo a Stresa,chiamo la titolare come da accordi,perdiamo 30 minuti per cercare parcheggio,poi ci porta in un hotel di cui non dirò il nome. Mia sorella,già nervosa per 1000 altri motivi,rifiuta di stare in quell'hotel,in quanto essendo proprio sulla strada principale,gode di vista lago,ma il passaggio di auto le renderebbe la notte impossibile,inoltre le camere sono troppo piccole rispetto a quelle dello Stresa B&B da noi prenotato. Cerchiamo un altro hotel solo per lei,più appartato(così come lo Stresa B&B),paghiamo 120 EURO,e mia sorella può dormire in pace. MORALE:non abbiamo potuto cenare tutti insieme per l'ultima sera in famiglia, mia sorella ha passato la notte prima del matrimonio a 4Km dalla famiglia...SOLA.

Beautiful Stresa.

Overall, we loved our stay here. On arrival, we were waiting about 45 minutes to get checked in which was annoying, and once we were checked in the owner tried to charge us €60 more than we had booked for, however she was quick to change it to what was originally agreed! After this hiccup, our stay in Stresa couldn't have been better. The location of this b&b is amazing. And Stresa is a gorgeous place!

Perfetto x un weekend

Camera grande e confortevole con bagno. Bella vista. Posizione centrale e proprietaria cortese. La colazione viene servita in un bar poco distante nella piazza principale del paese.

Peut mieux faire

Chambre plutôt hétéroclite avec vue partielle sur le lac, disposant d'une bouilloire, propre avec SDB. Lit un peu vieillot à semi-baldaquin, pas de vraie chaise. Décoration spéciale. Internet capricieux, 1 prise électrique sur 2 défaillante avec les prise françaises. C'est un B&B, donc il y a le mot 'breakfast'. Or celui-ci doit être pris dans un café sur une place voisine, et non dans la maison elle-même. De plus, le 'breakfast' consiste en une seule boisson chaude ( thé, café, capucino ou chocolat )et un seul croissant industriel à la confiture ou au chocolat. Très décevant. La propriétaire m'a indiqué que c'était pour réduire le prix de la chambre. Très décevant. Propriétaire accueillante, chambre nettoyée chaque jour.

Bon, aui début, nous avons eu du mal à nous faire ouvrir la porte, la gérante n'était pas là, mais ce n'est pas grave. Cette location est agréable, très bien située, avec vue sur le lac Majeur. Le gros inconvénient, c'est de ne pas pouvoir régler avec une carte bancaire. Et puis, les petits déjeuners ne sont pas servis sur placde, il faut aller dans un café à 300 mètres de là, et ils y sont pauvres. Un café et un croissant, et c'est tout, c'est un peu court. Globalement cependant, c'estpositif, avec un accueil très sympa.

Mérite-t-il l'appellation B&B?

2 remarques: Le Stresa B&B ne dispose que d'un minuscule parking (1 place alors qu'il propose plusieurs chambres)dans une ruelle étroite, d'accès difficile: bon pour une Smart ou une Fiat 500. Quand vous venez avec un SUV, il ne vous reste que le parking public gratuit à environ 200 mètres mais attention, le vendredi, jour de marché, il vous faut impérativement déplacer votre véhicule ou vous le retrouverez à la fourrière comme cela nous est arrivé sans que notre logeuse nous prévienne de ce risque! Quant au petit déjeuner que vous prendrez obligatoirement dans un restaurant en ville, compris dans le prix de la chambre, vous risquez d'être déçus: une boisson au choix (café, chocolat ou thé) et un croissant! Rien de plus! Bien sûr, non loin il y a la boulangerie ou vous pourrez rachetez un ou des croissants supplémentaires. C'est dommage car ce n'est pas l'image que je me suis faite d'un B&B au cours de mes nombreux voyages...Contact avec la logeuse (à part l'accueil du 1er jour ou elle nous a demandé immédiatement le paiement en cash)inexistant! Regrettable pour un établissement par ailleurs bien tenu mais qui n'offre pas l'ambiance B&B!

Abbandonati al nostro destino

Ci ha accolto un altro ospite della struttura, abbiamo insistito per avere la ricevuta di pagamento, camera gelida riscaldamento acceso dopo aver protestato, mutande e calze stese ad asciugare nella doccia del bagno, le chiavi che ci hanno consegnato non aprivano i portoni di ingresso quindi siamo rimasti chiusi fuori e solo dopo lunga attesa ci è stato aperto da altro inquilino della struttura, pagato il prezzo colazione compresa salvo scoprire che il bar Torino convenzionato con la struttura era chiuso COLAZIONE NON EROGATA!!! E' gente improvvisata statene alla larga...

Grande chambre en plein centre ville

Grande chambre et grande salle de bain confortables au dernier étage (vue sur le lac). Accueil chaleureux. Petit-déjeuner dans un café du centre ville. En zone piétonne mais possibilité de garer la voiture. La propriétaire conseille un restaurant du centre-ville (excellent avec des produits frais cuisinés à la commande) qui offre 10% sur l'addition !

Accogliente struttura

Struttura particolare dal punto di vista dell'arredamento molto creativo; camera pulita, con vista lago e abbastanza silenziosa. La proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Posizione perfetta per visitare sia il centro di Stresa sia per prendere i battelli e visitare le bellissime isole Borromee. Siamo stati bene.

This is not a B&B. This was a disaster. I showed up to the "B&B" Saturday afternoon and ringing the door bell and calling the phone # for an hour a woman answered that sounded like she knew nothing about my reservation. She told me to walk down the street to her friend's hotel and stay there! Katia and her family were lovely to take me in but it was not the experience I signed up for. Hotels.com was great and reimbursed my $$.

B&B close to the center

The room is very nice bright and clean. However, be aware, tat it is 4 flight of steep stairs. Once you get into apartment there are 2 more flights inside. Not great with heavy luggage or painful knees. The manager is nice and helpful, however when we arrived (around 5 pm) there was only a note on the door "please call me". We didn't have a local phone (we traveled with our US phone), and her phone didn't accept international calls. So my husband had to go find another hotel were people were nice to place a call for him. The manager arrived quickly and all was well afterwards. One other point is that the breakfast is in the restaurant (10 min. walk). And while the breakfast is good, to go down and then up all those stairs is not great. If you don't mind the stairs, the place is nice enough and close to all the action.

Stunning and unique

Beautiful room with original paintings on the walls. Very unique hotel with stunning sitting room and lovely outside space. In a great location a few minutes from the lake and local restaurants. Our hostess was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is at nearby Cafe Torino in the lovely main square. Would definitely return.
