A few kind words from past guests:

" Emily was an amazing host! The A-frame is everything. My family and I enjoyed our peaceful stay. We played games, we enjoyed the fire pit, and bonded for the weekend! This space is very clean and the host is super responsive. Thank you so much for hosting us!" ~ Jay

"Very cute and cozy A frame airbnb! It was our first family ski trip. This was the perfect place to sit back and relax. Emily was extremely helpful and provided all instructions prior to arrival. We hope to return soon!" ~ Iris

"Our quick family getaway was amazing and peaceful. We loved the hot tub and fireplaces. We were snuggled in tight when it was raining, and so close to waterfalls and hikes when the rain passed. The slightly separate living spaces allowed grandma to escape the children being children. We will be back for a fall stay. We just have to see this place with the foliage in full color!" ~ Anna

/\ A-Frame Amenities:
3 bedrooms, 2 full / one half baths, spread out across 3 floors with loft and walkout basement. There is a bedroom and bathroom on each floor to offer privacy to those traveling as a crew. Please note that we provide departure trash removal, unlike many area rentals, as well as hot tub service after every stay and these are included in the cleaning fee.

A 1970 original, the A-Frame was re-mixed in August of 2019. We opted to infuse the cabin with a modern feel while preserving the retro vibes and 70's era quirks. App A-Frame is a vintage home that we hope invokes the feeling of an heirloom inherited from loving grandparents. We intentionally did not gut and renovate the entire home in an effort to maintain some of the original charm. If a super modern, newly built A is what you are looking for we probably aren't for you and that's ok!

Great cabin in the woods!

This place is fantastic with great amenities and plenty of space for a family with the loft area, basement and deck. My kids (20, 19 and 17) loved the hot tub each night. It is a ways out there (15+ minutes from Boone which is mentioned in their listing). The driveway is steep!! (But I think all driveways in the area are steep! Lol.) Emily, the host, was incredibly responsive by text and through VRBO app.

Magnificent Mountain Cabin!

This place was in such a beautiful location among the trees with all the lovely leaves for Fall. We enjoyed the hot tub every night, and put together a new puzzle every day as a family. We roasted hotdogs, marshmallows, made s'mores with the awesome kit provided over the fire pit, and played cornhole. The peace and quiet was so refreshing, and the cabin had everything we needed and more! There was plenty of room for our group of seven to spread out or hang out together in the same space. The beds were so comfortable and we slept really well in the fresh mountain air. The kitchen was perfect and provided everything we needed for putting our meals together. We couldn't have asked for anything better on this trip. Thank you, Emily and John, for sharing such a wonderful place with us!! We will definitely look at returning and staying here again in the future.

Peace and Quiet

After everything going on so far this year, our family just needed to get away from it all and have some time away from everything and everyone. This A-frame was absolutely perfect for us! It is well appointed and we had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The house itself is on a secluded 2 acres but close enough to Boone for us to get and and do a few things. The layout was perfect for us and our teenagers, who loved having their own space downstairs. The back deck was amazing and we made the most of eating out there and sitting in the hot tub! Our kids also enjoyed having a yard and were able to camp out in the tent they brought. Best of all - we were able to bring our two dogs, who love mountain get-aways! We will definitely be back for more family time.

Honeymoon getaway

House was nice and cozy yet still elegant. I would recommend bringing a few essentials (basic condiments and any cooking supplies/sandwich bags, sugar substitute). If you’re a hot natured person there is a small fan available, it did seem to get rather warm in the main floor bedroom with the door shut and AC on. Not sure if the listing recommends a 4WD for the driveway but I definitely think it’s a good idea. Check in was smooth. Corn hole boards and fire pit area were a great plus.

Great getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the A-frame for our first visit to the area. The house has 3 bedrooms, one on each floor, and was spacious for the 6 of us. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the hot tub after a day of hiking on Grandfather Mtn. The arcade game was an added bonus with all our childhood favorites and more- Frogger, Pac-Man, and Asteroids. One note is that the driveway was a bit steep but we managed in our minivan by following the instructions Emily gave us. Great stay in a beautiful area.

Mountain R&R

Great relaxing time. Clean home! Comfy beds. Lots to do even when it rains. Fire place outside could use some kindling. Hot tub was good after a day of hiking. Nice to have some coffee and salt and pepper and a few other spices to start cooking. Private lot.

First trip to NC mountains

We had an amazing stay in n the a frame. Plenty of room for our family. Hot tub and multicade were a hit. The Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Fire pit and corn hole kept us occupied. Cozy beds with plenty of soft covers and pillows. Driveway was steep but we mastered it!

Gorgeous secluded, pet friendly cabin

We had the pleasure of being the first guests to stay in the newly renovated cabin. Emily thought of everything, including a pet bed and treats for our dog. She also had some snacks and water bottles set out on the counter and lists of ideas on where to visit and restaurants to go to. The cabin is beautiful decorated and very spacious with its large downstairs area. Emily was very prompt in getting back to us when we had questions. We will definitely come back again and we highly recommend this cabin.

Peaceful Getaway

Cabin was gorgeous, secluded, and had everything you could think of. Even spa robes for the jacuzzi. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We loved the owner Emily who made sure we got there alright and had everything we needed. Our last morning we were having coffee on the deck and a buck came out of the forest and ate grass while we had coffee perfect ending to our great getaway.
