Welcome to Mountain Splendor, a one-of-a-kind timber frame mountain log home nestled on 8 acres in the quiet community of Sugar Grove. With over 5,600 sq. ft., this spacious cabin boasts four bedrooms and two additional private sleeping areas for up to 12 guests. Unwind in the great room with soaring exposed beam cathedral ceilings and a stone wood burning fireplace or relax on either of the decks featuring stunning views.

This was a great place for me and out 4 generations! There was plenty to do in the area but starting on the property was Very Relaxing for all of us. I would recommend this place for families of all ages.

This was an excellent home in great condition - even better than pictured. It was a great option for our group ski trip and I would highly recommend it. We usually stay in Banner Elk, but this was a great cost-effective option that we booked on short notice.

Perfect Christmas in the Mountains

The house was perfect for sleeping our family of 7. Meals were great at the dining table and the kitchen was stocked with everything! Highly recommend the property. For New Years, the children left and five additional couples came up to celebrate.

What a wonderful property!

We loved our experience! Lots of space and areas for the family to hang-out. Loved the pool table and arcade games. Kitchen was well equipped for more than 12 people. Beds were comfortable. The property was clean and well-maintained. Only suggestion would be the landscaping in the front of the property but not a big deal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at mountain splendor and hope to return soon. We wish the weather had been prettier so we could visit tweetsie but enjoyed the amenities at the house.

Can't say enough great things about this property

From the checkin to the checkout, this was so smooth! We were sent the code for the door that day and able to access the property right away. Checkout was even easier, just a quick text and we were checked out. It was just as the pictures showed on VRBO -- and the property is gorgeous. It fit my family (4 grown kids and their Significant Others, a 8 mo grandbaby, my spouse and me) wonderfully -- we loved the pool table and the hottub. NC and TN in that area is so beautiful this time of year - lush and green and the temperature was in the 80s and perfect. We went to Boone quite often (excellent restaurants and breweries and the greenway trail was a great place to run). The house with its two refrigerators, huge washer and dryer, and so many wonderful sitting areas, both inside and out, was beyond expectation. Thanks so much for everything -- we couldn't have had a better time!

Such a gorgeous & Spacious lodge

Our family really enjoyed this stay!! The lodge is extremely spacious with a open floorplan. This was great for our little ones (especially the play room loft upstairs!) absolutely gorgeous, the kitchen was well stocked and the downstairs was a great option for the men to escape and watch the nfl draft. Hot tub was a nice added bonus for relaxation Will definitely be booking again!

Great Cabin!

This cabin is great! I stayed up there for 2 nights with a group of 8 guys. We enjoyed the view, all the TV's and the big basement with the pool table. It was very clean and easy to check-in and out.

Absolutely amazing!

This property was the best I have ever stayed in the Boone area! The house was impeccably cleaned and full stocked. Our family enjoyed the wooden fireplace, deck chairs and screened in porch area most. So many different areas allowed for us to enjoy our favorite shows and activities without bugging anyone else. Stacey, the property manager was fantastic to talk with and very supportive! Don’t miss out on this cabin! It is worth every single penny. Thank you to Heather for the fantastic job cleaning and the homeowners for sharing their home with us. If the mountains are calling, stay at MOUNTAIN SPLENDOR with no reservations!

Great Family Destination

This place was even better than the VRBO description. It was extremely clean when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with all of the wares we needed to cook the several meals we had planned. There were great toys for our little girls (3 and 1) as well as board games for all ages. The arcade game was really cool and the pool table was perfectly kept. We utilized both fireplaces at different points of our long weekend and the downstairs surround sound system was great for football and movies. We definitely hope to stay here again in the future.

Everything We Had Wanted

Looking to get away with another couple and their child this cabin provided all that we had hoped. Amazing view off the various balconies/porches, fun hiking, good access to supplies and beautiful furnishings and activities within the house. Everything was super easy to schedule and plan for.

Maybe the nicest home we have ever rented.

The house is huge and so well stocked. No need for a first quick run for bathroom or kitchen necessities. The wrap around deck is perfect so you can be outside whatever the conditions. The large table on the screened porch is great for dinners cooked on the grill. The beds are wonderful. Well, everything is just perfect. We loved our stay.

Nice large cabin with space to relax

The cabin is beautiful and the layout was perfect for bringing two families together to celebrate the App State graduation of our daughters. The distance was a little further from campus than I would have preferred for the busyness of the weekend but it was a relaxing space to get away.
