"The property is just as described... four cozy A-Frames (5th being built), owned and operated by a very lovely family.
Highlights: The gardens and home cooking are every bit as good as all the other reviews attest! We also enjoyed the jungle trek.
Challenges:
It's hard to criticize a place when the cost is so low. But worth noting a couple of points; A/ this place is very remote! Best if you have your own transportation (bike). Grab is about 200k to the Munduk waterfall trek each...

"Maybe not many people know this place, but Royal Indah Cabin is a hidden gem worth staying at. It’s easy to find on Google Maps, has large parking, friendly staff, and includes breakfast. The bedroom and bathroom are clean, the water heater works well, and the lake and mountain views are amazing.
It’s also close to Dermaga Kedisan and a minimarket, which makes it really convenient. Just small note: the pillows are quite firm, so it was a bit less comfortable for sleeping. And in the morning, if...

"We absolutely loved this resort! We chose this place for our first stay on our honeymoon in Bali, and the staff went above and beyond to make it extra special for us and to make us feel very welcomed there. We chose the royal villa for our stay, and let me just say the pictures don’t even do the place justice! The villa was huge, exceptionally clean, beautiful views of the jungle, and had the perfect amount of privacy for us to relax at.
The spa at the resort had amazing massages that we really enjoyed and needed, and a perfect location just a short walk away from our villa. We loved just walking around the resort as all the grounds and scenery were stunning, and very well kept and maintained.
The restaurant was easily a five star. I wish we got a chance to personally thank the chefs because their food was absolutely delicious, and it was all perfectly presented. There wasn’t a meal we had there that left us even a little disappointed.
One of our favorite things about our stay at Ayung was their staff. The service and hospitality they provided could not have been any better! We met so many great workers there, and all of them were extremely kind and helpful. They did an excellent job at making us feel like at home.
We cant wait to come back to Bali and stay here again! Would highly recommend this resort for others.
Thanks!
Noah and Amanda"
"Perfect stay! If you think you’re going to have a wonderful experience, just wait until you arrive — you’ll be absolutely blown away. Everything exceeded our expectations!"
"Very spacious room with all amenities needed.
Food in restaurant good.
Nice pool area.
Free pre book shuttle into Ubud town - needed, as is a bit far out from Ubud centre.
Pleasant staff.
2 minute walk to grocery shop and a couple of restaurants walkable."
"What an incredible stay we had at the Kayon Jungle Resort. Myself and my partner visited as part of our honeymoon trip to Bali and we could not speak highly enough of the experience we had at this beautiful hotel.
From start to finish the staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel as special as could be, whether it be constantly remembering my wife’s vegan dietary requirements and supporting accordingly, or such simple things as remembering exactly what we had been up to on any given day and checking in at every moment. Nothing was too big an ask, including arrangement of private transport for our own excursions (shout out Malen our driver!) or recommendations for places to visit/do.
We could not recommend this place enough, the staff are an absolute credit to the hotel and the whole island. Loved it!"
"A Peaceful Ubud Retreat with Exceptional Food and Amenities
We were very happy with our stay at The Udaya Resorts and Spa. The resort is located in a quiet and peaceful area, about 10 minutes or so by car from the main part of Ubud. While it is a little away from the centre, we actually enjoyed being away from the crowds and found it a relaxing place to stay.
For a four-star property, we were particularly impressed with the room amenities and the quality of the food. In fact, we found the overall experience here even better than some of the five-star properties we stayed at during our trip, including Sudamala in Sanur.
I would definitely recommend The Udaya Resorts and Spa to travellers looking for a more peaceful and less busy Ubud experience, while still being within easy driving distance of the main attractions and town centre. A very enjoyable stay overall."
"My stay at Junjungan Ubud Hotel and Spa was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I arrived, the management and staff were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and genuinely helpful with everything I needed. The rooms are fantastic exceptionally spacious, spotlessly clean, and wonderfully quiet, making it the perfect peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Ubud. Another huge highlight was the food, which was consistently delicious throughout my stay. The hospitality here is truly top-notch, and they make you feel like family. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Bali!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Adiwana Alas Harum. Our Jungle View Villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered amazing jungle views that made the experience feel truly special. The breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, and the resort amenities were well maintained and enjoyable. The staff deserve a special mention for their exceptional hospitality, always friendly, attentive, and willing to help with any request. A perfect place to relax and unwind, and we would not hesitate to return"
"The most magical place we’ve ever experienced. The staff, food, amenities, and property are truly incredible. We enjoyed the spa, gym, a terrace villa (which we highly recommend), a special Indonesian dinner night, the breakfast, floating breakfast and room service. Everything was exceptional. Stay at Abisena, you will never want to leave."
