“The house has a nice private and quiet feel and is great for family gatherings given the layout of the dwellings. The house itself is really neat and has been restored beautifully. It's about an hour drive to Charleston, so you can get away from the hustle and traffic of the city but also do the tourist thing pretty easily.”

“I would have given 5 stars, but there was a used bar of soap in the shower that makes you think it wasn't clean. Also, how often are the blankets washed since you have to make the beds back before you leave. Why is there a host fee when guests have to clean everything or be charged an additional fee. I understand not leaving a mess and never would, but for what it costs to stay, with all fees, guest shouldn't feel like or think that the place hasnt been properly cleaned and sanitized between……

“Went on a fishing weekend with my son and found this place to be absolutely perfect. Good location to meet fishing guides, golf courses around. Place is very clean, and clearly the owner takes pride in their place. Perfect relaxing view of the lake at the end of the day. Could not have found a better place for this kind of getaway.”

“Great location on lake. Good access to fishing and family boat rides. House very clean and private with fully gated property. Beds slept well and good cooking products to use. If only one negative is pantry storage for big family for a week there is none. Had to leave our storage bins under table for non perishable food but 2 refrigerators was nice touch. Beautiful and quiet location and neighbors seem very friendly. Thanks for the use of you home”

“My husband and were unable to stay. He was rushed to the hospital the day before unexpectantly. I messaged the owner asking to cancel and asked for a refund even though I knew the policy was no refund. We had reserved on Friday for a Sunday check-in and I was messaging Saturday early morning. I too am a VRBO owner and have shown mercy for an unexpected emergency. However the owner was delayed in any response and eventually stop communicating. The "property manager" responded once saying they……
