We enjoyed the relaxing time at the property. The studio is excellently furnished and very quaint. We enjoyed our hosts and their warm welcome. Take time to sit out in the yard and watch the deer at sunset.

Wish we could have stayed longer!
We attended a wedding not far from the property. We wish our stay could have been a couple more days. The property was beautiful, the hosts were very polite and their “guard” dog was so sweet! Thank you again:)

This apartment is above a double car garage. It is very quiet out in the country here and secluded. It's over 5 miles back into town down a gravel road so be sure to bring your own groceries or eat before arriving. We were greeted immediately by the owner who showed us to the apartment and even carried one of our bags up the staircase. He was very friendly and chatted with us, even recommending a place to eat over in Joseph, Oregon, where we were going. The apartment was lovely and had everything one would need to cook a meal. It was very hot when we were there so they had a portable A/C unit on, which we really appreciated. The deck outside has chairs to relax on and enjoy the view of the hillside and woods. It was a very cozy stay here. If you want a quiet place to just relax and unwind, this place is for you! Just be aware that you'll be needing to visit the car wash in Island City on your way out after driving the 5 miles in and back out on the gravel road.

We were greeted by Donna and Richard when we arrived along with Harley, their dog. The place was so peaceful! I recommend this for any couple wanting to get away and enjoy peace and quiet!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The location, the apartment, the host and the very welcoming puppy. It is always a pleasant surprise to find that the property is as listed, and in this case even above and beyond. We would like to visit again when we can spend time on the deck, enjoying the lovely views.

I can’t say enough about this property, from the time you drive up till the time you leave was a very enjoyable experience. I wished I had more time to stay there and will definitely be back. The hosts are wonderful sweet kind people, helpful and communicated very well. I was fortunate to have cell service as well, which I wasn’t expecting. Such a very peaceful place to stay. I would give it 10 stars if that was an option.

This property is a gem. If y try ou want peace and quiet this is a great place t ok stay. Very comfortable and serene. Had all you needed. For the price you can’t beat it. The hosts are excellent.

A Little Slice of Heaven.
This was truly an amazing experience! From the beautiful scenery, to the amazing hospitality, you won't find a better place to unwind and be in the midst of nature. The first thing I got when driving up to the house was a greeting from their awesome dog Harley Q. As friendly as can be, and the perfect welcoming committee. I could not recommend this stay more!

This is a gem! Tucked away outside the little town of Summerville, OR is this beautiful studio apartment with everything you need for a quiet retreat. You’ll not find more gracious and kind hosts in Donna and Richard. It was like visiting old friends. Can’t say enough about our short stay with them. Thanks!

Very nice
This is a beautiful place! The owners keep the whole property looking like a park. There is no washer and dryer so you can remove laundry from your list :) It seems I had enough phone service to receive text messages but I had trouble sending (I have Metro). One of the house rules is no bar soap in the shower but fortunately they keep some liquid body wash there for you to use if needed. The kitchen has a nice big sink, pans, dishes for 2, microwave, kurig machine, refrig/freezer and propane stove. There aren't any mixing type bowls but I'm sure the owners would be happy to share anything you may need, they are very nice people.

Nice little retreat. Perfect for couples.
The property owners were great with a well behaved dog. Wish we had more time to enjoy it during the day. It's perfect space. The distance was perfect from Elgin for my white tail hunting.

Cute and cozy studio. It had everything we needed to have a wonderful time. Comfortable beds, beautiful tiled shower and well stocked kitchen! We really enjoyed staying here. The studio was very warm and inviting. Google maps initially took us to the neighbors but we eventually found it. It is up in the hills and far from town with spotty cell service. It's up a long gravel road surrounded by forests and pastures. A very scenic drive to the property. Bed was nice but there were a small amount of ants in the bathroom. Large shower. If we're ever in the area we'll stay here again.

Wonderful Woods
Located in some wonderful woods. The patio faces up the hillside with tall trees giving plenty of shade. The only sounds were the birds & the wind rustling through the trees. We sat on the patio to read, but I ended up putting my book down & just enjoying the view. Down the street there is about a two mile hike up into the woods to the top of the hill. There are a lot of side trails if you want a longer hike. It is a small studio apartment above the garage, away from the house. Plenty of privacy. Full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator & microwave. A/C unit, overhead fan, & plug in heater available. I was worried when I saw it was a pull-down bed, but I found the mattress very comfortable. Shower was luxurious, but the toilet was on the small side. The hosts were friendly & hospitable. They welcome some socializing if you desire, but will give you complete privacy if you wish for that too. We had a very restful weekend & would love to go back some time.

Thank you Donna and Richard for the hospitality! We accidentally booked the wrong dates without realizing it and showed up a day earlier than our booking. So embarrassing, but we were warmly welcomed anyway. The space had everything we needed and was obviously created with a lot of thought and care. I especially enjoyed reading on the deck overlooking the woods in the mornings.
