I saved up to rent a place all year. When I got there I had to call her to find out how to get to the lake. “This really is a beautiful setting - it is very private and quiet. The front porch is where we spent the most time in the evenings, hearing the loons call was priceless! The home was clean and well-appointed. Due to these positives, I give it a five star rating. However, a few things are needed to make it even better - repair the holes in the window screens. “We loved this cozy cabin. It had a rustic feel but was updated enough to be comfortable. Location was great, felt isolated but still close enough to town. Peace and quiet on the frozen lake. The kids loved the little reading nook upstairs. There were plenty of games and toys for them, and they loved tuning in the antique radio. We loved sitting by the gas stove. “This place was perfect for my large group ski trip to Sunday river. The mountain was only 15 minutes away. We had 14 people and everyone slept comfortably. There was plenty of towels, blankets, and linens for everyone. There’s plenty of activities at the house including several tvs, a pool table, ping pong, and of course the hot tub. The host was very communicative as well. Overall I would highly recommend. We are already talking about coming back over the summer or next winter! Thanks again!”

“This place is great, it has all of the comforts of home. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. The camp was very clean and I'm a bit OCD, so this place really made our stay so nice. We had a fire, cooked out, had family visit, watched movies. We brought our pets, Tessa and Petals, not much we could ask for. I wish there were outside lights on both porches and the grill could use a grate that fits and a full size coffee maker. Other than that everything was perfect, the kitchen……

“My girlfriend and I loved this camp! The view from the dock is one we won’t forget. Canoeing around the pond and up the river was fun. We hiked a few of the many trails in the area. We curled up with good books during a rainy morning. And, we enjoyed exploring Bethel. We couldn’t ask for anything more from a camp in Maine. Thank you so much for welcoming us to the camp. “We only had a very brief stay, alas, but made the most of the opportunity as best we could. A few updates are needed with the introductory welcome materials and equipment information that will be easy but useful to correct. Glad we had a chance to pause in western Maine, with a view of close mountains and the distant Presidential Range in NH. A couple of kitchen tweaks will be helpful for our cooking happy selves, though we enjoyed the spacious kitchen with adequate equipment, beautiful place……
