"-Easy access to/from highway -Initial thought from outside: house was rundown and needed upkeep. -Neighborhood not as bad as other reviews made it seem. -Wasp situation needs to be taken care of -Inside was also rundown but main areas were relatively clean such as beds but overall aspect of house created doubts on how clean things actually were. -Wasn’t the most comfortable but dealt with it for a night. Beds for example, not being able to sit on a couch."

The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

6/10 Okay

"I thought the room itself was a little rough and beat up for the prices they are charging. The furniture was rough, and when we checked in the room had not been cleaned. There was a film of dust on all furniture. The bathroom vent had legit dust pile and layer it was pretty gross. The pool is not connected to the hotel. And essentially anyone could just walk in off the street. No key card access like most hotels. The pool was bombarded by teenagers who were not staying at the hotel. First there were two, then three then five, then seven. They kept calling more and more people seemed to live near by and rode their e-bikes there and took over the pool. Ended up leaving the pool. Several guests continued to show up and leave the pool due to the teenagers as well. Hotel didn’t seem to care and allowed it. The one good thing was the hotel provided rides to anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel. FYI they charge for parking as well typically in any city in a downtown area. Another positive was many of the restaurants close by were really good. If I’m back in Tampa again I would be considering another hotel though. Overall for the price and what they charged not worth it. There also was a bar/restaurant on site. The lobby and bar area presented a nice hotel and then you get to your room not the same level for sure."

"Overall, had a great stay. The staff were professional and courteous. The room was nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and love the 2 tv’s. My only complaint was the cleaning lady either forgot to sweep or just didn’t do a great job. There were dustballs on the floor and I even found a ball of paper sitting under the table. The housekeeper should have been more thorough."

"This is a solid hotel - clean, spacious rooms, good wifi, hot shower, comfortable bed, and most importantly... Well priced. It's still new and finding its feet (eg, the body wash was empty, the sheets incredibly wrinkled (although clean!), and lots of tape marks all around the room as of a previous guest decorated it for a celebration) but it was a pleasant stay with a very friendly staff. I would definitely stay again."

"This property is outdated. The room had peeling paint. The bedding and bed were comfortable. The pool smelled like pee and was full of people with drinks in their hands. The valet was $45 a night and they do not offer self parking. The only convenience was being close to the stadium for our game, the Dali museum and the pier. Also ability to work to places. The hotel itself was not worth the money we paid. Not to a Hilton standard. One and Done!"
