Great Lake House
Location is great, deep in a cove and in area with lots of restaurants and things to do. The large boat dock has a TV, mini fridge, speaker, and tons of seating. There’s a lily pad for the kids, two kayaks, lifejackets, and lots of floats.There’s a large deck overlooking the lake with great views. The house itself is older, but nostalgic. Very clean and accommodating. The bedroom setup was perfect for three families with a total of six kids. There was a great bedroom for the kids with tons of beds for all of them.We had a slight issue with the trash situation. When we got there, the one and only available outside trash bin was already overflowing with trash so we were unable to put any of our trash in it until it was emptied four days later by the trash company. By that time, 12 people had generated quite a bit of trash, so we were unable to fit all our trash in the bin by the time we left 6 days after our arrival. We were required by house rules to bring some of our trash with us when we left. However, we were charged 20 for leaving the outside trash bin in the same condition that it was when we got there. I reached out to the owner, Tyler, and he refunded the charge, but I think it’s something people should be made aware of ahead of time. Tyler was very responsive and friendly. His parents have a house a couple houses away, so they are probably available too if needed I suppose!
