“The hotel and pub were very pleasant. The rooms were well-equipped and the food was excellent. However, the service at the pub was inconsistent. While some tables were served, we were not and this was unclear. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. However, the room temperature was excessively high. We were forced to leave the room to cool down despite the outside temperature being over 35°C. The room was significantly hotter than the outside. Although fans were provided,……

“Terrible experience. The property owner was extremely rude. I booked a room for my husband, baby, and I. I followed up via email to confirm how many of us would be expected and asked if they had a cot we could use. They responded positively confirming they would have the cot in our room waiting for us. On the day of our booking we were informed that we had booked the wrong room that only accommodates 2 people and he could move our room for the night. By the time we had driven 2 hours to the……

“The property is a 200 year old property that has been renovated over the years. More akin to a B&B. Our room was very comfortable. the bed was a little creaky but we were exhausted and slept well. It worked well in a pinch. The proprietor, Edwina, was great.”

“Overall a good stay. But AC off upon arrival and it took 7 hours before the temperature was bearable to sleep (5 pm arrival). Nice atmosphere at the pub with great food and service.”
