“Overall great experience and would stay again. Proximity to beach was great. Games, Puzzles, and DVD collection was a fun bonus for the kids. A few minor improvements could put this place over the top. Because they’re older, some doors don’t close fully and none of them lock. Some extension cords with charging stations in the bedrooms would be a nice touch. The lower level does get warmer than the upper level but the fans help make it manageable. We did appreciate the number of hooks available……

“This is a lovely quiet property on the water. It was the best supplied property I’ve ever stayed in with food in the cupboard and fridge and bath room toiletries, even an extra toothbrush. (Good thing because I forgot mine.) There’s plenty of room to spread out and even a pool table. Highly recommended for your next trip to this wonderful little corner of the world. ”

“Very comfortable and centrally located home away from home. We were able to walk to the beach and boardwalk very easily. The interior design of the house was tasteful with lots of charm. There was more than enough space that the three of us could have our own downtime without crowding each other. We were so comfortable that we didn’t do very much sightseeing and enjoyed the comfortable beds and living room seating for most of the trip. “This was one of the best vacations we have ever had. The cottage itself was perfect, simple, clean and cozy. Cheri has everything you would ever need! The view of the bay and the private beach are amazing, especially with being able to bring our fur babys! They had an absolute blast swimming and so did the humans. We kayaked and tried paddle boarding for the first time which is something we would have never had the opportunity to do.The host was great! There was a little snag with our payment……

“We stayed here for our 20th anniversary and it was the perfect spot for a 3-night getaway. The views overlooking the harbor were beautiful—especially the sunsets right from the balcony. One surprise we didn’t expect was being able to rent a golf cart on the property, which made it so easy (and fun) to get to the beach, explore downtown, and sightsee around Cape Charles.A must-do: make reservations at Hook @ Harvey, the restaurant located just below the apartment. The food was incredible and made……

“Great place to stay for the weekend. Place was quiet and peaceful. The house furnished well with great amenities. Fishing and kayaking from off the dock. Also life jackets available for the kids for safety as well. Catching crabs off the docks, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding. The house has nice deck in the back where we enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon and evening activities playing corn hole, and spent good time sitting in front of fire pit was great. It was pleasure to stay spent……

“Property manager canceled my stay with no notice. I had already driven a great distance to be there. Took several days for them to issue the refund despite the fact that they canceled the reservation same day. Actually they told me I had to cancel the reservation on my end. I assume this was so they would still get the money from the reservation, but I called to cancel it and explain the situation. Long story short don’t book here.”

“I sent my wife, her foreign guest, and the neighbor on an outing—mainly because the noise level at home had reached “incoming artillery level”.I steered them away from repetitive shopping, they enjoyed some fresh air, and I found the sound of silence.Unfortunately… they’ve returned.They loved it. ”
