Not a mistake we will make twice. The overall stay wasn’t terrible, but it was far from what I expected for the cost. There’s definitely some false advertising. I booked this hotel specifically for the indoor pool, it’s the first picture they use to promote the property. We had to cancel our beach trip for my graduation, and I wanted my son to still have something fun to enjoy.
When I asked about the pool, the front desk clerk said it wasn’t heated; not a problem, as we’ve stayed in plenty of places with unheated indoor pools. What they should disclose is that the pool is basically not fit to use. They apparently don’t heat the room it’s in, and the water was around 50 degrees. Our son tried anyway, and the owner grabbed a key and immediately came in to the pool room to scold us for using an amenity we paid for, saying the water was too cold and he’d get sick. If guests aren’t allowed to use something, it shouldn’t be advertised or open.
The hotel is also under construction, the walls are extremely thin, and the room could have been much cleaner. My son dropped a piece of paper, and when I picked it up, I also picked up a large ball of matted hair. Parking is tight, especially for larger vehicles.
Another thing worth noting: the water pressure in the bathroom is unusually high. You must close the toilet lid before flushing. My toddler didn’t know this and flushed, and toilet water sprayed in a three-foot radius, covering us, our bags, the sink, and the clean towels.
