“Pros: Few neighbors which meant it was quiet. One even apologized for running the lawn mower which was quieter than the waves on the shore; The kayaks, rowboat, and bikes ready for our use; the full kitchen, tub, and open floor plan which made life with five people easy; Even though we were there during a hot spell the house cooled down enough at night we could sleep; lots of plugs for electronics; and amazing sunsets! Cons: Not quite enough hot water for more than two showers; only one fan, the……

“The house is really nice. Great full kitchen and nice bathroom. The view is great of the lake. Be aware most things close early around there and nothing is close (food, etc), so get groceries or plan ahead. Great place overall.”

“Beds were comfortable and the 3 season porch was a great place to unwind. We enjoyed the view of the water from the house. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes. At night we could hear tree frogs calling on the other side of the road, which was fun. There's also a park nearby with walking trails, and a grocery store close by. Zachary's Pizza is also close and we had an excellent pizza there. It was about 20 minutes to downtown Burlington. A very relaxing place to stay, so glad we found it!”

“Our second stay at Baxter's Hideaway was just as wonderful as the first. Albert is very responsive. The property very clean and well-equipped. The proximity to the bike trail is great. With beautiful weather we meandered along Church Street Marketplace in Burlington each night (highly recommend!). If you want to eat dinner in Burlington we recommend making reservations well in advance. We will definitely return again next fall!”

“We stayed in this house because of it's close proximity to family during the holidays, but it ended up being such a great find that we hope to stay in again! The house uses space very well, the kitchen is spacious and I found everything I needed to do baking and cooking. We loved the room that looked out on the lake with big sliding doors. One thing to note is that one bedroom, with the King sized bed, is down in a refinished area of the basement, so it does require lots of up and down a steep……
