We went to Syracuse for the Syracuse nationals car show. Approximately five days before we left, I asked the host if there was an outside grill. I was told that there would be one there.. We were one hour outside of Syracuse when I texted the host to ask about keys and a lockbox. I got a text back that stated we were supposed to have been there five days previous. Needless to say, that statement gave me a few more gray hairs. After a few more text messages, the host finally got it right. I would think the host should know if someone has been in the house or not. I did get a text stating that at 2:30, we would receive the combination for the lockbox and be able to enter the property. We were also given information about parking. When we arrived at the property around 7 PM, there was no grill and no place to park where we had been instructed to park and a message that stated if we had to adjust the temperature of the apartment we first had to notify the host. How ridiculous. There were air conditioners in each bedroom that worked well. I messaged the host and was told that they would bring a grill the next day. That never happened. The place was clean. The water was hot. The refrigerator, stove, and microwave were in working order. The bathroom did have paint peeling on the ceiling, but that didn’t bother me. What bothered me was that you needed to be at least 6 feet tall to use the bathroom mirror. there was no plastic wrap, tinfoil or Ziploc bags to be found. We won’t be back

Upon pulling up I seriously wondered if I was at the wrong house as it looked abandoned. Broken screen door swinging in the breeze. House is situated on a corner lot at the end of a road. It is not well maintained and parking is difficult. The keys were in the lockbox as described and the process of getting inside was easy. The inside was rough, no other way to describe it. It was 85 degrees inside as no one had turned on the window units. Landlord special fixer upper, but not very fixed up. Heavy water damage on the ceiling of the bathroom with peeling paint and discoloration. 2nd bedroom was tiny with barely room to walk around the bed and both beds were extremely uncomfortable. Seemed to have no support in them. You just were engulfed in the mattress when you sat down. We left with sore backs and necks. Only upside to this place was it being pet friendly. However we will not be back.
