Great for a family / Close to Tahoe City

The house is two blocks from the main street of Tahoe City and great for families - great bed / bath arrangements and functional kitchen and family room.

Beautiful home!

Great place to stay if you’re going to be at Palisades! Just below 15min drive. We loved how close this place was to the grocery store and little shops. It was awesome having that additional room at the bottom as we treated it like a game room. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great neighborhood

The location is fantastic; you can walk to the lake or nearby restaurants. House is big and perfect for a larger group. All of us had a great time staying here.

Red Cedar House

We spent 5 days in this house and it was comfortable, clean and has all the amenities one could need. The house is located one block away from shops and restaurants and it's very roomy. Enjoyed our stay.

Turkey Week in Tahoe

Great house for a family looking to have room for all and a place to stretch out and feel comfortable. Short walk from town makes it even better for our family. Great views and the grill was nice to have just off the living space.

Great Tahoe City House

We really enjoyed our stay at Red Cedar. The house is very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Hot showers, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a lot of space for everyone to relax. It's very close to Safeway, restaurants and Palisades skiing which was great. We would rent here again!

Beautiful House, Beautiful Lake!

My family and I loved staying at this cabin on Red Cedar! This little neighborhood is pretty much the only set of houses that are within walking distance of Tahoe City shops and restaurants, and to Commons Beach. Highly recommended for families. The house was very comfortable and had all the amenities one would expect. One tip if you decide to stay here: don't forget to bring beach towels/other beach gear you want.

We had an amazing time at Red Cedar, the living area was wonderful, a lovely large and sunny kitchen/dining/living room. We enjoyed the balcony and also the TV den after hiking all day. We especially loved that it was a 2 minute walk to Tahoe City with all the restaurants, beach and groceries a very easy walk. Would highly recommend

Great house and location.

Even nicer than the pictures. Plenty of room, easy walking distance to everything in Tahoe City, short drive to palisades. Garage is tall and easily fit jeep grand cherokee with ski rack and skis.

Wonderful !!!

Lovely place with a Great location! Walking distance to groceries and town. Fully equipped kitchen and all bedrooms were comfortable with their own bathrooms. Ski resorts had tons of snow this year!

Great stay at Red Cedar

My family really enjoyed our stay at Red Cedar. Booking was easy and from the first person I had contact with at Tahoe getaway I was impressed with the great customer service. The team are all so friendly and helpful. The house was beautiful, really clean and had everything we needed. It's in a great location so you can walk to shops and restaurants in Tahoe city. As well as strolling over to the beach and the lake.

Wonderful location and an absolutely stunning home!

We had a fantastic stay at the Red Cedar home, make no mistake this is not a cabin but a beautiful fully furnished home in the woods. Able to quickly walk to the little town of Tahoe City in minutes and with grocery and stores near by we had a wonderful time. The house is fully stocked and furnished with quality and cleanliness as a priority.

Great stay in Tahoe

We had a great stay at this house. It is very spacious and I loved all the natural light. We found the house very clean and it had everything we needed. It’s less than a five minute walk to town. There is not much yard space for kids to play outside and the house next door has seen better days, but that didn’t ruin our stay and we would rent this house again!

Perfect for two families of 5!

We stayed in this beautiful house with another family (both of us with young children) and it was perfect. The upstairs bedroom is huge and accommodated one family and then our family took the two bedrooms on the main level. There is a bonus family room on the lower level which was the perfect play room for the kids - and the perfect staging area for all of our ski gear. We skied at Homewood one day (about 10 min away) and then at NorthStar the other two days (about 25 min away). Closer than NorthStar are Alpine and Squaw (both about 10/15 min away). The house is walking distance to the lake, which is beautiful and to shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend it as a wonderful place to stay!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first visit to Tahoe was made even better by our beautiful, comfortable Red Cedar rental. OH, FL and CA were represented among the generations who stayed and everyone loved the front deck, the open layout of the living space, the great kitchen, and the private bed/bathrooms with comfy beds and great linens. The large garage was also a plus. The house is in a great location for walking to the lake and town and even has a peekaboo view of the lake. We wish the backyard had been mown and cleaned up for the kids to play, but there were two great playgrounds within walking distance. It took forever for water to heat up in the master bath...sure that's a minor adjustment. Otherwise, owners have thought of everything to make guests welcome and comfortable.

Large group reunion.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is one of 2 houses we rented in close proximity to each other to accommodate a bunch of people.This is a great house close to water front, Safeway store and CVS. Some of our group did karaoke at the Japanese restaurant after dinner. The house is very comfy, plenty of bathrooms, TVs and room to socialize or be alone. Make sure you ask or check on current promos. I did not find out about 10% discount until after booking directly on VRBO, the actual property management company is Tahoe Getaways. Also there are very strict guidelines about hosting gatherings and such., fortunately the other property we rented had no such guidelines and we were able to have a very nice wedding proposal announcement gathering there.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: the actual house was very nice, clean and a great arrangement for our family of two adults and two teenagers. Enough room to gather as a family and to have our own space. Great to be able to walk to groceries, shopping, dinner and the lake. However, The house needs some attending to as the plumbing on both the master shower faucets and spa tub faucets were stripped so regulating water flow and temperature were difficult. The actual house is not private. Neighboring houses are very close and noise was an issue due to barking dogs and constant heavy construction (8am-4pm). It would be a good policy for the management company to disclose probable construction noise and/or nuisance noise to prospective customers so one has a choice.
