Loved the location of the cabin. We were here with another young family, primarily for skiing. It was a comfortable stay for us! The kids loved the arcade and we loved the shuffleboard!

We gathered for a family reunion and the house was clean and provided plenty of room. The room in the 2 car garage was a nice bonus. Great house - we would rent it again!

We loved the place. We mostly used it as a rest area while during the day we did activities in Tahoe-Donner, etc. The cabin was well stocked with pretty much everything we needed. The only thing was I felt it could of been just a little bit cleaner in the kitchen. It was just minor. I would stay there again.

Our month-long stay at the Bear Cub was just as wonderful as our first extended vacation last year. Can't say enough about the casual, homey feeling of the cabin and the incredible amount of natural light filling the spacious living area. Quiet street in a beautiful, pine forested part of Tahoe Donner enhances the feeling of a true getaway to the mountains. We really appreciated that the house was equipped with everything we could have possibly needed. Big thanks to the homeowners for opening their fantastic vacation home for rent!

Stayed at this house with another young family and it was perfect for us! The main living room with the huge dining table felt spacious with the super tall ceilings and was awesome for hanging out in the evenings after coming home from a day of adventures. The wooded backyard space was also great for the kids to play make believe. Kids loved the arcade cabinet and the spacious garage and driveway made loading bikes and gear super easy. Kitchen was well stocked with all types of pots and pans. Highly recommend — would stay here again!

We had a great time in this cabin during our 2022 holiday vacation after Christmas. It was in a perfect location close to Truckee shops and restaurants. The house appeared exactly as advertised and was perfect for our family (5 adults and 2 kids - 7yo and 4yo). We could have fit probably 1-2 more people comfortably! The kitchen was well stocked (spices, pans, etc.) and communication with the property manager was great and easy. The house also had sleds available to use which came in handy since it snowed like crazy when we were there! The plow service came promptly after the storm and helped a lot to clear the driveway. Overall, we had a great time here and would definitely recommend the place!

We had a group of 5 men that had a getaway week in the mountains. This house was absolutely perfect!! We all had plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped, we used the nice KithenAid grill there one night. It snowed 2-3 feet the last 2-3 days we were there and we spent many hours around the kitchen table and relaxing around the family room. It was perfect! The house was warm and ready for us when we walked in the door. The beds and pillows were all comfortable which is always a huge question mark when renting VRBO houses. All in all we could not have picked a better place to stay. I highly recommend it.

The house met are needs well with a couple of exceptions: 1) The chairs around the dining room table were too low and soft. 2) A table and seat appropriate for computer work would have been quite helpful, and could easily be added. The exceptional amount of snow during the last three weeks made our visit interesting and challenging at times, though this was a risk we accepted. One consequence was that cleaning was delayed until after we arrived, which the property manager addressed well.

Fabulous stay in the Bear Cub Cabin. We spent four weeks luxuriating in the comfort of this wonderful home. One of our priorities was lots of natural light, and this bright, airy cabin more than fit the bill. The cabin comes completely as advertised, no surprises, totally equipped for a comfortable home away from home experience, including a well stocked kitchen. Interior is warm and spacious with comfy seating and beds. Big bonus for winter was the flat driveway and large two car garage for easy access to the house. The manager, Chris, had the property warm, well lit and inviting for our arrival, and immediately responded to a minor maintenance request. We highly recommend this property as the perfect getaway destination.
