Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin is cute and cozy. They have it stocked full of a variety of dvd’s which we enjoyed in the evening along with their wood burning stove. When we weren’t watching the dvds we enjoyed watching the fire and watching the snow fall at night out the living room windows. The cabin is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, but it was cold and snowy. It may be different in the summer when it’s warmer and more people are outside or have their windows open. We enjoyed skiing at Homewood which was ridiculously close by and easy to get to.
We brought our own food, so we were pleased with the well equipped functioning kitchen. The only down side was that some of the pots and pans had either not been well washed after the last use, or had been sitting so long unused that they felt a bit greasy and dusty. But, no big deal, I just washed them before using them, which I would have done anyway. The wifi didn’t work which was good for our son, as he was forced to take a break from his computer, but bad because we couldn’t call or send or receive any messages. In an emergency, we would have been in a bad way. We were truly off the grid. Also some instructions re how the universal remote for the tv and DVD player worked would have been nice as it caused some annoyance and frustration figuring it out by trial and error.
Nonetheless, we had a great time. The cabin was great, and we hope to come again sometime.
