Very friendly reception like in my own home and helpful people in offering shutter to the railroad though it's not far away actually.

It’s a great property if you’re staying in Talkeetna. It’s on the river side and from there if the weather is good you will get to see Denali. It’s happening small town. I love the stay with our family.

I'm not sure of the staff at the front desk were new, but if so I wish someone would be right there with them until they are trained. I was given wrong directions twice, and keys that didn't work. Finally called down and competent person had our keys activated and came up herself to make sure all was good. Luckily we woke up to the view you want... a clear view Denali.

Hi Gwen I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but I was wondering if you possibly had your locations mixed up. We currently don't have a front desk open, I also walk clients to the door to verify that the door is coded correctly, as we have a key less entry, also we have ground level rooms. I hope the rest of your trip was awesome.

Wow what an experience!!! Staff is top notch and extremely friendly and welcoming!! I loved everything about this place. Kim is the property manager onsite and after checking in on superbowl Sunday she invited us over to the tavern for party snacks and food. Kim checked in with us everyday during our stay just to see how we were enjoying our stay. When she found out our train was not due until after 4pm she was extremely willing and worked with us for a late checkout. She even held our bags after check out until shuttle would be available to the train station. We were able to snowshoe around the property while enjoying the amazing scenery that Talkeetna offers. Rooms were very quiet, nice and oh the pillows were so comfortable!!! 10/10 recommended for a very laid back easy going relaxing stay!!!

Fun cute stay with a great view of Denali off the river. I fell in love with this little town. The staff were very knowledgeable of the area and Denali. Only complaint is that the bed wasn’t very comfortable other than that I loved everything about it and the area.

We stayed for New Years Eve- it was beautiful! The people who run the place are fantastic and kind. They had fireworks and hot chocolate! Rooms were clean and warm. It was the best! Walked a couple blocks to have dinner at Denali Brewing and then to Fairview Inn to have a drink and watch a live band. Easy (but cold) 5 minute walk back to the hotel.

OK - price was right
The room setup was weird the two beds the head of one was at the feet of the other with a huge unusable space in-between. No room for luggage for two people with normal suitcases. The bathroom was clean and normal size. everything was within walking distance. It was mudding. Two of the walls buckled and came away from the wall. The window was across from another room under a roof for a walkway - dark -except at night the hallway light was on bright.

This property was clean, simple and no frills place to stay. Would stay here again and would recommend to others. Unfortunately it was raining heavily when we were here but if it had been dry, the grounds looked very nice.

Decent basic place to stay in Talkeetna. They have a bar. There are dining and shopping options within walking distance from the hotel.

Huge spider and ants in one of the beds. Spider was easily disposed of, but ants were a problem. Furnace was being worked on and temp of too had to be regulated by opening and closing window.

I checked in this hotel right on time before 4. When I was checking out in the morning at 11 there was no one around so I just left the key room on the front desk.

Right next to the Main Street of Talkneeta for shopping, dining and drinks. Great view of Denali mountains. Wished we would of stayed 2 days.

We did not stay. We went to a better rental facility. The registration person said we had only one room and we needed 2 rooms and had booked 2 rooms. It smelled and they were rude.

This is a very rustic place but covered all the bases. The grounds by the river were so pretty with sweet places to sit. Pleasant staff. Walkable to everything in town.
