“The shower handle leaked a bit. We liked that it wasn't far from the restaurants or coffee shops. There were a few spiders, but other than that it was a very pleasant place to stay!”

“This was as close to the homestead experience as city slickers like us are likely to get. The cabin is small, tidy, authentic and, naturally, has no air conditioner, TV, refrigerator, etc. The shower/toilet are 75 yards away across the prairie grass. The hosts who run it (and the adjoining county museum) are friendly and accommodating. The director is passionate and knowledgeable about history, but not entirely sensitive to the exhaustion and time constraints of weary travelers. Perhaps he could……
