This home is absolutely stunning. The service that comes with it is 5star, Katherine is excellent at answering questions and her staff are professional and efficient. Highly recommend this home for a larger group as each bedroom is an en suite and the living space is quite large. The views are breathtaking and we had the monkeys several of the days that we were there in the trees near us and that was very exciting. The road to the home can be rough as it is dirt with potholes, but the gas golf carts we rented handled it just fine

Paradise

Don't look any further, this property was everything and more. The view was amazing, property was well maintained and very clean. Honestly the photos don't do it justice, it is absolutely more beautiful in person if you could imagine. Karina, Kathrine and the house staff were exceptional and gave us a luxury experience. The location was perfect, only a few minutes drive to the beach and town. I will be making this location an annual visit!!! Definitely 10 stars ★★★★★★★★★★

Absolutely Magical

What a memorable stay. We traveled to Tamarindo with a group of colleagues who are seasoned world travelers and each one of them said the same thing. "Best trip ever!" The house was absolutely amazing. The staff was first class, they responded quickly to every question and gave us the five star experience. The breakfast was delicious and started our day perfectly. The views were spectacular and the great room gave us plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each other's company. Each bedroom was perfect for each couple and the beds were comfortable. They staff serviced the rooms each day. We are definitely going to make Alang Alang a annual get away. 10/10!! Tim

Family getaway

The property was incredibly beautiful. 180 degree view of the ocean and estuary. Well maintained and spacious. Plenty of room for our family of fifteen to gather or find a quiet place to read. The whole staff was so friendly and personable. They took great care of us. The oldest grandsons surfed every morning which they had hoped to do, while the rest of us enjoyed the pools and the lovely pool area. It exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Destination Wedding

We booked this house for our friends and family to come to Costa Rica for a week long vacation and our wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect. The house is incredible. It feels like you have an entire resort to yourself with two pools and plenty of space for everyone to get away when needed. The staff was great and cleaned, did laundry each day, and cooked an awesome breakfast buffet each day with no two days being the same food. They even made fresh juice for us at breakfasts. Karina and her team were very attentive to us in the year leading up to our visit and during our stay. That was big for us since we were planning a wedding and coordinating with many vendors. It felt like they truly put us first during our stay too. Two of our guests had trouble figuring out their AC setup at night and they were quick to respond and get someone to set it up immediately. Karina recommended a few golf carts for our guests to go down to Tamarindo and the beach when they wanted without taking a big SUV and those were always in use so we’re glad we did that. We also took Karinas recommendation for Chef Sebastian and booked him for our wedding day meal and the day after for dinner. Both meals were some of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. I highly recommend booking him for dinners. We also loved Pangas and Bamboo Sushi Club, which Karina was able to help with reservations for our large group. Overall, an amazing house, location, and team. We will be back for sure.

The perfect place to have the trip of a lifetime

I brought a group of 18 friends to Casa Alang Alang to celebrate my 40th birthday and words cannot express how perfect the entire experience was. Three important things to know about this amazing villa: 1. The photos don't do it justice! It's impossible to capture how beautiful the space is and how magnificent the views are. I know they look great on the website but the real thing is so much more magnificent. 2. The team in charge of the space is amazing. Friendly, helpful, easy to communicate with, and deeply invested in guests having the best possible experience. I wish I could work with this team every time I travel, they really are the best. 3. The food was incredible! I cannot overstate how lovely it was to have a huge breakfast lovingly prepared every morning, with the sea breeze and the infinity pools and the view. Truly the perfect way to start each day. I'll always remember you Casa Alang Alang, thanks for everything!

Alang Alang was an 11 out of 10! The views, the house and the staff exceeded all expectations! Highly highly recommend! Lots of great spaces to gather but much privacy if wanted. We surfed, boated, massages at the house and several private dinners…amazing!

Wow!

A group of 9 of us visited Casa Alang Alang for our 40th birthday celebrations. We couldn't have asked for a better house. As soon as we walked in all we could say was "wow". The pools, the open living space, the kitchen, the bedrooms were all top shelf but you can't beat the views. From the ocean, to the mountains, to the hills, and the best sunset views imaginable. Katherine was our property manager and she was amazing. If we asked for something, it was a matter of minutes before she responded. Her recommendations from excursions to chefs were all exceptional. The staff around the house were all friendly and helpful. We even had a visit from a monkey which made these Midwesterns excited. Our only small complaint was the lack of a hot tub. The pool was a little chilly at night and a hot tub would have been perfect to enjoy a night cap in the water. If you have a chance to stay here, make it happen. You won't be disappointed.

A Dream Vacation

Can't begin to say enough about the amazing Alang Alang. From the moment we arrived, the experience was simply amazing. We were immediately hit by how open and welcoming the space is - and then there is the view. Simply unreal. Every morning we woke up to a lovely view of the ocean - and every night we got to watch the sunset show unfold. And then there is the staff that took care of our every need. Simply wonderful in every way.

We loved casa alang alang. We stayed for 5 days before my daughters wedding. Wish we would have changed wedding to the house. The staff is amazing. Karina helped us with dinner reservations, excursions, hiring a private chef. She thought of things I never considered and made it a wonderful vacation! We would come back again!

Incredible property and amazing staff!

I have visited Tamarindo many times over the last few years and hands down, the Alang Alang property is the #1 VRBO property in Tamarindo. I invited 12 of my very best friends to come down and experience Costa Rica. The Alang Alang property alone made it a trip of a lifetime for many of my guests. The property is absolutely stunning. We never closed the upstairs living room/kitchen sliding doors. There was a constant and nice refreshing breeze everyday. Seriously, no bugs, not one!!! The property is so well laid out that we all felt that we had our own space. Their amazing staff along with the manager Karina did an amazing job in communicating our requests. Communication was easy and Karina was available at anytime to answer questions and or to help book a massage or activity. I can't say enough, book your next trip at this property, you won't be disappointed! I will be back soon to stay at this property again! Pura Vida and thank you Karina and your team for everything!

Two 50th Birthday Celebrations!

Costa Rica, Tamarindo and Alang Alang surpassed every expectation. The home was beautiful beyond compare and the sunsets from the deck were amazing and a highlight of already extraordinary days. I can’t say enough about our vacation…I don’t have the words. I truly do not have one complaint, except that we had to leave that magical house. We will be back as soon and as often as we can. Thank you for a trip and celebration that was fabulous from beginning to end.

We spent 8 nights in paradise! Two families, three generations in both. Memories of a lifetime were made. And casa Alang Alang did not disappoint. This villa is simply amazing. Pura Vida at its absolute best!

What would make a group of friends from a tropical paradise like Hawaii spend money to travel to another beautiful tropical paradise?... CASA ALANG ALANG!!! This place is so amazing that we actually had to motivate ourselves to leave this house and actually cancelled a dinner to have the chefs meal. This place looks amazing in the pictures but surpassed our expectations in person. From reserving the place, to prestocking, to booking activities, chefs meals, and restaurants, karina and katherine can handle it all and so kindly. The entire staff was so amazing and kind. The breakfast made daily was amazing and a little different each day. Make sure to ask for gallo pinto and the fried cheese - sooo delicious! Our welcome dinner cooked by Chef Hugo was so good we actually ordered more lunches to be cooked at the house and cancelled our last nights dinner reservations in town so we could eat his food. His ceviche is the best I have ever had and I order it every chance I get at restaurants. He told us he cooked for us with love and it totally shows. They all made us feel like family. We went here for a milestone birthday party for a total of 10 people and all of our guests told us that we ruined all future vacations for them because the house and entire staff offer pure luxury at such a reasonable price. We highly recommend renting the playgrounds boat for the day and the massages at the house were the best we ever had and best most tranquil location on pool deck overlooking the ocean. The beds are so comfy and the views are breathtaking. This house and staff made our trip unforgettable and set the bar untouchable for all other vacations. The best vacation we have ever had. This all may sound too good to be true, but you just have to experience it, and you will be blown away.

Our family of 18 spent a fabulous week at Casa Alang Alang. Even though we were in the rainy season, we only had rain in the late evening and saw beautiful sunsets every night. The open air house was more beautiful than we had imagined. The staff was wonderful. Francisco was always available for any need that we had. The breakfast staff, cleaning and maintenance staff always had a smile for us . The breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. For dinner, Chef Sebastien and his staff were excellent. He was willing to prepare anything we wanted and was always eager to please us which he did. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our week at Casa Alang Alang was. We highly recommend it!

I'm not sure words can accurately describe how much we enjoyed our stay at Casa Alang Alang. My (now) husband and I got married at Casa Alang Alang and we had a group of 18 others travel with us. For months, I had been looking at the pictures of this villa with such excitement. It's hard to believe that the villa was even more beautiful in person! We were in awe when we walked through the doors for the first time. So spacious, modern, and clean. On top of the amazing location, the service was incredible. Karina kindly arranged for the rental car company to pick up our vehicle from Casa Alang so we could enjoy the villa. Francisco was incredibly helpful with everything we asked of him. The housekeeping staff prepared delicious breakfasts and did laundry daily as needed. We can't recommend this villa enough. You will have the trip of a lifetime. Our friends and family were in awe at the location and the service. We are already planning an anniversary celebration in this villa!
