“Stayed here with 3 others and found the location to be very accommodating. The location fit our needs with respect to private parking, security, and location to the beach. We were also able to cook meals in the kitchen which added to the convenience. Avellanas is a great beach town and the beach was a short walk away. It was nice lounging around in the hammock and enjoying the scenery. I would gladly go back.”

“Stayed here with a group of 5. There was plenty of room for us in the house, it didn't feel cramped. The property was nice and secure and the hammocks were great to lounge in. We all felt like the walk to the beach was fine and would consider it the definition of walking distance. Would highly recommend this place for a group looking for an authentic Tico experience.”

“Great walkable location near beach suitable for several families. We had street parking but the overnight security made us feel very safe. Any immediate questions/issues were addressed quickly. The only real negative was a dishwasher that did not work very well. We found the pool to be a real necessity…enjoyed it and the inside/outside family areas.”

“If you are looking for a trip to stay at the beach to surf or swim, this is a good place. It is nice, safe, secure, has most all of the basic necessities and my hosts were kind and helpful when I had questions or needed anything. It was close to a busy street and restaurants so there was a lot of noise at times. It was right on the main road yet near the end of it so you can walk to get to all the shops and restuarants.”

“Our stay at Blue Jewel was fantastic! Our group of 9 friends spent a week in early May and had an amazing time. The property was beautiful and in a perfect location situated steps from the beach and a quick walk to Tamarindo. “Tara’s little oasis is/was amazing. Just what we needed for our 10 day get away. Place was clean, the AC was amazing, walking distance to beach. We rented a golf cart from Pacific Coast rentals and it was the best money we ever spent. I would 100% tell anybody to come stay here. Tara always responded super fast. Will 100% be coming back”

“The house is beautiful and very spacious. I never saw a better equipped kitchen. This kitchen was for serious cook. Our house manager Dawley was amazing.
