"We arrived at night and the grounds looked magical. The check-in service was generally nice. They upgraded us from a standard to a superior. So we were off to a great start. But let’s just say that I would hate to see what the standard room was like. The superior room wasn’t aged as much as it was just not done up right. I have never seen such generous use of caulking in the bathroom for example. There were no baseboards anywhere in the room and the bottom of the wall was just a line of dirt from years of mopping. The floor felt sticky with bare feet. The bathroom was the worst. We were greeted by a pile of dead bugs by our bath. Clearly the maid had not bothered cleaning the room—or perhaps this is just the quality of cleaning everywhere. The mirrors were smudged. The shower was cracked on the floor and the grout looked like it had never been scrubbed ever. The worst though? Having to kill over twenty large mosquitoes that had infested the room. We spent 45 minutes taking care of that—slapping them between our hands and then washing our hands right after! The AC never quite got cold enough. The pictures had clear moisture stains all over them. We could never figure out how to turn the TV on or connect to the wifi. The breakfast was not terrible but nothing to write home about. All in all, will never stay here again. And I come to Sukhothai every year so I am familiar with the quality of other places—lots more much better options around, many for cheaper."

"After a bumpy start with some difficulty communicating over the phone to arrange transfer from airport and missing the driver by a few moments, we still arrived early in the morning way before checkin. They were gracious and accommodating and fed us breakfast while the room was prepared and we quickly got settled and were able to have the full day to explore the spectacular sites. They have many bikes to load to guests to explore the area with ease. While only a 10 minute walk to the gate, the overall area is immense and after thinking we would rent a golf cart, we needed more time and you couldn’t take on the public streets, so alas we needed a bicycle afterall. Great location with 2 7-11s within a short walk and a wonderful night market along the temple waterfront. Rooms are not well insulated from heat or noisy neighbors, but the neighborhood is generally quiet, less the blaring music from one across the street ending before 8pm. A/C cools very well and all was very clean."

"Delightful hotel in the old Thai style and had an elegant feel. The pool was lovely and there was a temple on site. Their spa was very nice and reasonable. We would stay there again if visiting Sukhothai again."

"One of the best hotels as far as hospitality is concerned from me and my husband as world travellers. When we could not easily find transportation from Kamphaeng Phet to Sukhothai, hotel helped us arranged a tax to pick us up. Hotel staff warmly welcomed us upon arrival and waving us off upon leaving. Staff speak perfect English. Breakfast is varied and plentiful with hot and cold. Swimming pool is very nice. Hotel has a nice homey feeling the minute you walk in. Location wise, it is 1K to town/entrance to historical park. Can not say enough good things about it, especially for the price."

"The hotel is so close to the central temple complex, museum, cafes, market and shops that it’s easy to walk or borrow one of the bicycles to see a lot. The room was a great break from the heat with a comfortable bed and good wifi. The staff are very friendly and keep the place really clean. I definitely recommend. "
