Top Tarpley Hotel Reviews

The Vaquero Motel

10/10 Excellent

"Cabin is styled texas style and the neighborhood has authentic, safe, and a friendly feel.. The room was clean and spacious even though it needs some updating. Free parking right in front. The foam bed was a bit too soft for us but large and a good assortment of pillows. Coffee maker was nice. Enjoyed the walkability of the neighborhood— restaurants, stores and bars were great! Didn’t stay long enough to try out the firepit and other amenities. Definitely would stay again!"

Texas Hill Country Resort

8/10 Good

"The facility was great. The only problem was the internet was out at the bathrooms/laundry room by our cabin. We could connect to the WiFi but it had no connection to the internet. The staff kept saying the WiFi is spotty. The WiFi was fine. It just had no connection. They didn’t seem to grasp it and we asked them to restart the router but they never did. We were on a motorcycle trip and with no cell service there we had to use my brothers Garmin satellite communicator to let wives/ mothers know that we were okay. That’s my only complaint. Everything else was great. If you are riding the Three Twisted Sisters starting in Medina this is a good place to stay. Paved driveways and parking. Well stocked shop if you want a cold beer or snacks (though a little pricey). Overall a good experience."

Secluded Ranch Cabin Get Away Between Lost Maples & Garner

10/10 Excellent

"Kat's Kabin was a great place to stay. The listing was exactly what we found when we arrived. The cabin has 2 queen size beds; one is a soft mattress and the other is firm. It was so nice to have that choice. We found the location to be perfectly situated between Lost Maples and Garner state parks. In between our visits to the parks, we checked out Utopia and the wonderful hill country drives that surround the property. In the mornings we were able to wake up and sit on the porch and watch and listen to the birds, and wildlife around us. On our last night the skies were clear, and we had a great view of the stars. This is the perfect location if you want to get away from it all."

Secluded Ranch Cabin between Garner and Lost Maples

10/10 Excellent

"Had a wonderful stay in this peaceful cabin in late October 2026. Was exactly as advertised (clean, comfy beds, nice linens, adequately supplied kitchen, etc.), but the location is the real jewel of this property. Secluded and quiet with beautifully maintained grounds. I could sit all day on the porches watching the birds at the feeders and in the birdbath. Was surprised at how many flowers were still blooming in the surrounding fields! We saw deer, rabbits, turkeys, a coyote and so many birds! Crested caracaras, doves, cardinals, titmice, house finches, Phoebe's, warblers and bluebirds among others. Definitely worth a repeat visit!"

Three bedroom house near Main St. in Bandera, TX

10/10 Excellent

"There was absolutely nothing wrong with the property and accommodations. There were, however, at all entrances, 6 or 7 steps. I walk with a cane currently. The ad was not deceitful or secretive, it was my assumption, that there would be an accessible entrance, which is my error. The only thing I would recommend is that it needs to be written in descriptives, that it is not recommended for those with ambulatory issues. Lena was very pleasant and amiable and we loved the property!!"
