“I really liked the room. Huge bed. I appreciated the ranch slider with a deck looking out into the forest. Very beautiful It almost felt like I was in a different country. Although a little dated, the room was well appointed and very clean. The only down side for me was the light from outside, even with the blind down the room was quite light. That could be a real plus for some people. Great communication and I’d be really happy to stay again. ”

“Definitely my favourite stay after 3 months of travelling NZ. Such a lovely, quiet location with parking right outside. So nice to be able to see the chickens & visit the pigs and fresh fruit from the grounds were left in my room on arrival. Super friendly & helpful staff too”

“The cottage was so lovely and peaceful being set in extensive gardens and well away from the road. It was also close to many natural attractions - lots to explore around this area. A couple of foot stools or easy chairs would make it more comfortable for lounging at night.”

“My wife and I decided to stay at the Coastal Chalets because of its remoteness and proximity to the far north. We found the place beautifully maintained, with a lot of privacy, quiet and beautiful scenery. We were in Suite C. It was spacious with a luxurious shower, full kitchen, bbq, spa pool and other amenities. We found it was a perfect spot for a romantic get-away. They're also a stone's throw to some truly excellent Indian food ("Spice Grill" in nearby Kaeo). Great place for dinner if you……

“Patrick was an absolutely wonderful host and the arrival process was smooth and easy! It was the most stunning location with a lot of space for the seven of us that stayed. Unfortunately it rained most of our stay so we are hoping to stay again to get to spend some time outside on the property. One thing to note is that the property is completely off-grid. We loved this aspect but definitely worth knowing that there is just one composting toilet and one shower when you have a big group!……

“Super cosey well built cabin with a view to die for! A little piece of paradise where you automatically relax and unwind on arrival. Gorgeous alpacas and donkeys greet and welcome you also on arrival. There are a range of animals on a spacious farm block that all seem so relaxed and happy. Eggs and honey from the farm are delicious!! kindly given by the most gracious and amazing hosts. It is a quiet and private place where you feel like its just you and the very quiet donkeys at the back. We had……
