Never received any communication from the owner of caravan until 8pm the night before I left, despite several attempts to contact her.
Arrived at the holiday park and was made to feel extremely unwelcome by the manager, she had a very unpleasant attitude & large chip on her shoulder, seemed to have an issue with the owner of the caravan saying she had not communicated with them, checkout was advertised for 11am but was told rudely to “you need to get out by 10am”, I asked where to park was told “not my problem”, to top it off she slapped the keys down on the counter and said “good luck”.
Due to this I decided not to stay, didn’t even unlock the caravan, as I was very upset & very uncomfortable, returned the key amid a barrage of abuse from the manager who followed me out to my vehicle and harassed me until I left.
My husband rang the owner of the caravan who was furious due to the treatment I had received, she told him the park had recently changed ownership with new staff who had no idea how to run a business, she said she had been in contact by email, but due to no communication between the staff, no one knew I was even arriving.
Owner was very apologetic and promised us a full refund, we waited over three weeks to be finally told she would only give us a 50% refund, we asked why and was ignored.
Absolutely disgusted with the owner and the caravan park.
