This condo is in a great location, with a phenomenal view, and awesome amenities. Management was incredible - availability and response times were fantastic, and every time we needed something, our requests were handled swiftly, and with the utmost courtesy...
Unfortunately, there were two aspects of our stay which tarnished our experience:
1) The listing states that the property does not have A/C (as is somewhat common in mountain resort properties). What it SHOULD have said, however, was that the property has A/C, and was designed/engineered to keep heat IN, however the owners chose to turn off and prohibit use of the A/C by guests. This is important because, as a property with radiant heat, there are LITERALLY NO FANS, OR WAYS TO MOVE AIR THROUGHOUT THE UNIT. Furthermore, there is only one window in the entire condo with a screen, so we found ourselves having to choose between trying to sleep with an interior temperature of 84 degrees (no joke), OR swatting bugs all night. And because it was vacant for a couple days prior (and therefore the walls, floors, everything were super warm), it took a full two days to lower the temperature enough at night, to where it actually stayed below 80 degrees during the day. It was extremely uncomfortable.
2) One of the other owners, who proclaimed herself as someone "who sits on the HOA board," was extremely rude and threatening, when we were forced to temporarily park in the driveway of the building, when we returned to find the only two outdoor parking spots occupied, and having a roof-mounted storage rack, which we needed to dismantle and remove (in order to drive into the covered garage). Even though there was a second exit/entry to the garage, and only a couple other occupants at the time, our 10-minute temporary parking attempt (while transferring three tired children to their warm beds) was interrupted by this very loud and obnoxious woman, who was claiming it was a "fire hazard" (even though no fire exits were blocked, and no one was trying to exit or enter during that 10 minutes). She was rather unpleasant.
All-in-all, it was a great property, with all of the amenities that one would expect from a high-end Telluride penthouse.... Except for the lack of ventilation/AC, and one unbearable nighbor.
