“We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful house for a friends reunion. The house is charming, comfortable, with great communal areas and cosy bedrooms. It’s well placed near a train station, and a great walk. We loved the fireplace and the hot tub which created a great atmosphere and kept us warm in winter.”

“This is the perfect home away from home for relaxation after a day touring the countryside, and we were very grateful to have enjoyed it for two weeks. The owner, Stanley, provided detailed instructions on how to reach it, and in the house is his booklet with details on places to visit nearby, and instructions on how to operate the appliances. Stanley kept in touch with us as our arrival date neared, and answered any questions promptly. The house itself is filled with many interesting books,……

“This was a beautiful cottage, with a great outdoors area. The kitchen and bathroom had everything you needed. For the slightly cooler evenings there was a lovely conservatory to sit in. This was a great base for some nearby walks (eg to Mells, walking through fields, woods and alongside the river with crayfish). Also, only a 10 minute drive to Longleat Safari Park!Would definitely recommend!”

“Very well furnished and laid out property. Definitely will appeal to someone to get away from it all even a strong phone signal and the gps can't even find the street! But peace and quiet with the lovely aroma of the gardens with fresh cut flowers in every room made it all worth the drive. The only noise you will hear are the sheep and cows in the fields and the very rare passing of a tractor or one of the neighbors in their car. “We stayed for two nights for our annual visit to Longleat, which is only about 15 minutes drive away The house was in perfect condition and very old and rickety yet full of high-quality modern appliances It was a very relaxing and enjoyable short stay. I would recommend it to anybody.”

“Loved staying in this beautiful house - really well equipped, clean and in super location. We loved sitting out on the terrace for breakfast in the sun and enjoying cocktails on the decked area in the late afternoon - just perfect! We will def be returning! Thanks so much for such a great stay ”
