"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this waterfront property in Maine for five days with our family and had a wonderful overall experience. The home is stunning and exactly as advertised, with incredible ocean views and a peaceful, remote setting that made it easy to truly relax. Being right on the water was a highlight, and the house itself is charming, comfortable, and well laid out.There are two things future guests should be aware of. The electrical system in the kitchen is a bit sensitive, and using all the lights at once sometimes caused the power to trip, requiring a reset at the breaker. Also, the water has a strong sulfur smell (similar to rotten eggs), likely due to the well/septic system, which was noticeable when using sinks and showers.Aside from these points, we really enjoyed our stay and would still recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet oceanfront getaway."

"This was our third time staying in the area and our first time in this cabin. We felt it was very cozy and accommodating for our family of four. We enjoyed using the fireplace and making meals in the kitchen. It feels very secluded at night and is extremely quiet. It’s also very convenient to tenants Harbor and Port Clyde."

"We had a wonderful and relaxing stay im this tastefully furnished and very comfortable home ! This was our second stay in this beautiful house and most likely not our last . The view is incredible - looking out on the water and islands is like therapy. We were also in awe of the night sky full of stars ! We love the location also because of the excellent restaurants and bakeries close by ! I do need to mention the amazing and very well equipped kitchen ! Also having kayaks and beach chairs makes the stay so fun and easy ! I would recommend this home to all my friends ! Thank you "

"Absolutely loved this home...extremely comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen which all us cooks loved for the couple nights we stayed in. Close to great lobster shacks or fine dining! Sadly, the heat didnt work in the living room (battery might need (changing) and carpets could use a fresh cleaning. I would suggest cutting the foliage at the water as the view from the Adirondack chairs was obstructed. All in all beautiful home and the owner was very nice!"

"This was the perfect house for us as we were in town visiting family and wanted something nearby. It is exactly as pictured. Modern, clean house nestled in the woods, bathed in natural light. The master bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms were spotless. Kitchen has everything you would need to cook. My favorite spot in the house was sitting at the kitchen island overlooking the ocean while enjoying breakfast every morning. Thank you very much for the walking trails. It was really nice to get out for a little hike through the forest (we even got lost). Peaceful is how I would describe the outdoor surroundings. "

Reviewer Comments: Our vacation at Seaside Farmhouse Retreat was a pleasant experience, but it could have been far nicer.We arrived on a 98° day to find the house and cottage shut up tighter than a drum - no windows cracked or AC units turned on. (And there were not enough AC units to cool a house that size down to begin with). The ones that were there, had such dirty filters, it looked as though they had never been serviced!The property managers were easy to reach, and were sympathetic enough. The layout of the bedrooms in the farmhouse section were funky, with people having to walk through bedrooms to reach the bathrooms. The cottage was very old. 'Nough said.Thankfully our large group of 18 was able to eat outdoors on the deck area, but if the weather had been different, eating inside would have been problematic due to the fact that tables were insufficient to seat that many folks. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and other areas of the main famhouse were comfortable enough.The loft was newer and better appointed than the house or cottage. Only one towel per person (if that) was provided. The location is very nice. There has a side yard for games, and two outdoor grills.All in all we made the best of it, but doubt we will return."

"The location of the house is amazing, and the view spectacular. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks was a soothing sound throughout the day and the walking trails in the woods were an unexpected bonus. The house was the perfect size for our family and we appreciated having three bedrooms with ocean views. The only cons were minor: some more silverware in the kitchen would be appreciated as would more storage to unpack clothes in the bedrooms, and we felt we needed to use spring water for drinking and cooking given the iron in the well water. That being said, we hope to have the opportunity to return to this property again!"
