Most of Tepoz consists of winding roads that werent designed for cars. This property is a bumpy 10 minute drive to the main downtown, despite how close it looks on a map. The property itself is clean outside. Inside our room, the floor seemed clean but our feet were filthy after walking barefoot on it. The hot tub/shower did not fill quickly enough to be anything more than a warm tub, not hot. Also, the barrier between the hot tub and the rest of the room is very wide and difficult to step over. Lastly, the shampoo/conditioner/body wash smelled like the stuff you get at a hospital, not really neutral like the normal stuff from hotels. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but not English-fluent (not a huge surprise in this part of MX). The staff is the best thing about this hotel. With that said, if you're just looking for a place to stay in Tepoz, and you just need an affordable base of operations while you explore the area, this is a good place to stay. Just take care to not slip getting out of the tub, and bring your own shampoo.
