Terlingua Pixie

Please note the price you see includes cleaning fee and fee. This is a 24 foot Airstream trailer that has been restored and modified for permanent mounting with a 20x9 foot steel deck, outdoor shower house and a gas grill with side burner for cooking. The front bed is a couch and a single bed that can be expanded to a queen size with cushions. good views of chisos.
The space
The Airstream is very cozy inside with artsy touches.
Other things to note
The Pixie is co-located with Casa de Aero and Terlingua Longhorn.

  • The Rio Grande River winds 12 miles down Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park, Texas. When the water is high you can come down the 1,500 foot walled canyon. With less water flowing, guides take you 3 to 4 miles up the canyon with some spots having to portage. But take it all in stride because the views are breathtaking. I recommend Big Bend River Tours. You might get lucky and have the guides that take you a half mile up a side canyon. An excellent day excursion in the out of the way national park.

We loved our stay. Pack your water and hiking gear. If you want luxury keep moving on. This is retro style rv and does the job! Great location and location is perfect to get into the park. Owner was on site and easy to access for questions. Def will be back!

Only one plug outlet worked in the Pixie. That ended up being quite the inconvenience. Also, there wasn’t a lot of privacy. There where a few windows that did not have blinds (sink, door, couch) and you could see through the entire camper.

Many electric outlets didnt work. There were ants everywhere in the kitchen area. The reservation policies should stipulate clearly that there is an additional fee for 4 people instead of 2. It has the potential to be quaint, but it's not quite there.

The property is just as pictured, cozy clean vintage airstream that has everything you might need for a comfortable night sleep or cooling off between your hikes. There is a microwave, a grill with a side burner, a fridge and basic kitchen supplies as well as spices and instant coffee. The host was very responsive to messages and was able to help us with a couple minor issues we encountered right away.
