Winter at Alpine Resort

Our family had a great time staying at the Refuge. There was plenty of space for both sets of grand parents, our kids, and us. The house was beautiful and was even decorated for the holidays. The close proximity to Deep Creek and state parks, along with the heated pool made it a great stay. We will definitely be back.

Great mountain home to enjoy the peace and serenity of nature.

Great house and great experience but the instructions that are written in the different information manuals and online are contradictory. So the procedure to shut the front door didn’t work and what to do on departure was also different in different areas. That’s my only complaint.

Worth it

What a beautiful location! The house is just as described. Plenty of room for a wonderful weekend away with my cousins and sister! The lake was the perfect location for a hike and a swim! Absolutely gorgeous views with plenty to do! We will definitely be back! Only issue was a breaker was tripped to the bedrooms downstairs. It was an easy fix for us.The towels smelled sour after you started to dry with them. Should be washed/soaked in some vinegar. And sometimes when AC (which is loud) is on there is an odor. Those were the only little complaints and they are small ones. Very much enjoyed our stay! Can't wait to return next summer!
