「No wifi!!!! As a Dad of 3 girls... no wifi on a 3 night stay is not ideal. This was not mentioned at any time while booking or checking in. They tried to be helpful and moved us to the closest room to the lobby (which still had wifi). This allowed some wifi (Netflix and other streaming still wouldn't connect). But all in all - no wifi. Breakfast was decent. Same thing all three mornings. Pool was good. 2 min drive to beach access in a great spot. This is a great cheap option to stay close to...

「Hotel and staff were very good but the area did not seem to be safe. There are homeless and obvious drug users in the area that would congregate at the entrance of the hotel parking lot. A couple blocked the entrance at one point as we were trying to enter. Asheville needs to find better ways to address the homeless throughout the city. Wish we had stayed in a different area. Probably won’t stay in this city again.」

「I’d like to start off by saying that the front desk staff was great. Very nice and helpful. The room was very small, but the bed was comfortable. The entire hotel smelled like marijuana and we had an ant infestation in the bathroom. They were everywhere. We chose the hotel because it was pet friendly, but will never stay at another La Quinta based on this location.」
