"Staff was rude. We didn’t know we came right before bike week so a heads up on that when we booked the hotel months in advance would’ve been nice. The staff called us mid day while we were at the beach asking us to move our car so the bikes could park there. They have 4 parking lots and I was in the first parking lot which was closer to the lobby. They wanted all the bikes to be on that floor so they weren’t setting car alarms off all night. That part I guess was understandable. What was not understandable is why they didn’t give us this notice prior to parking there and the. Calling us away from the beach soaking wet mid day to move the car when we paid good money to stay at the hotel just like the bikers. The front staff was extremely rude about it when I addressed my concerns. “ fine don’t move and have ur alarm go off” and rolled her eyes and walked away. And this was the manager named Ashley. You have to have a key card to get anywhere in the hotel which is also nice for security purposes but very inconvenient at the same time. I can’t tell you how many times we went to use the bathroom from the pool area and had to turn around to get the card just to get in. A wristband that has a key on it would’ve been way more convenient. Other then that the hotel was nice and clean. I however am big on respect and curiosity and the front staff failed miserably"

"The hotel is dated, the bathrooms are tiny. But it’s very central and the room itself was large. If you book on hotels.com your view is the alleys or other building roofs and chillers. That seems to be the same at most hotels I book thru this app. The breakfast at swamp fox restaurant was awful. The eggs were liquid eggs and the grits were lumpy and dry, the rest was mediocre."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds were amazing, mattresses and the pillows were super comfortable. The coffee shop on the property was excellent and a great bonus during our. We would stay here again!"

"The rooms were a bit older but well maintained. Only downside was the slightly unpleasant smell of the room. That aside, it was a good stay and the staff that checked us in was very helpful."

"Checked in, was not shown how to get to room, last room of the 3 buildings, construction cranes outside the windows. Elderly mother couldn't walk around there, roaches in room, no cold water, shower falling apart, nothing like the photos or the room I reserved. Remotes did not work. Was told to go to maintenance for batteries.. never found them. Carpets so dirty, your feet were black . They refused to move us unless we paid for an upgrade After 3 days of arguing with them, we had too check out, could not take it anymore. They refused to refund the 2 days we had left, refused to do anything to try and make it right. Ignored us, will never return to Compass cove..."
