“dodgy bathroom door handle made us nervous that one of the kids might be locked in. Otherwise, worked as a perfect home base for us as we drove around and explored Ireland. The only other negative is while the beds were roomy enough for the five of us, the lack of a seating area and table made it messy to carry out and eat food in the room. The lack of a fridge or microwave further limited those options. Location is fantastic. Food and drink at Bia were excellent. Is the lounge ever open? It……

“The hotel staff were so friendly! We chose this hotel last minute and were very happy with the decision. It was very easy to get to and a short drive to downtown. Our room was at the end of the hall and quiet. Very nice bathroom with plenty of toiletries. ”

“Fantastisk beliggenhed. Ro og fred helt uden trafikstøj eller andre gener. Når man åbnede et vindue eller satte sig udenfor, var det eneste man hørte bølgeskvulp fra søen. Huset lå helt nede ved søen, for enden af en ca. 2 km lang Mark/Skovvej. Men der var kun 5 min. kørsel ind til den lille hyggelige by med gode spisesteder. Check In var nemt og hurtigt, og værtinden var sød og hjælpsom mht. hvad man skulle se i området. Værelset var lidt lydt om natten, når andre var på toilet, snorkede osv.……

“Beautiful manor tastefully decorated. Our welcome was flat, almost unwelcoming. We learned the King’s room we booked and paid for had been given to someone else and she blamed the booking calendar after confusion at being given a key to the wrong “other” room and sitting in the hallway with our luggage trying to contact her made me downright angry. A simple apology and explanation to begin with would have smoothed things over but sent upstairs at a locked door with a key that didn’t open our……

“The Walsh's home is a perfect haven. Everything was exactly as noted with beautiful details to all the remodeling done. The location is on a relatively quiet road that is about 2 miles from end to end and makes a perfect walk in the AM or PM. You may have a few sheep or others who demand a photo or two. Short distance to Cong and Ballinrobe, Oughterard, and Maam area are lovely to explore. Michael stays in contact as needed as well as gives you space to explore. I will return, hopefully!”

“Fantastisk beliggenhed med den smukkeste udsigt. Mulighed for mange gode ture - til fods eller i bil - fra stedet. Lejligheden var kold og uden radiator i spise-opholds-stuen (der var radiatorer i de andre rum). Vi savnede en ansat på stedet til at svare på spm. Fx da der ikke var varmt vand eller da vi ikke kunne få badet på 1. sal til at virke. Eller om de havde en mobil radiator til spiseområdet ;)”

“We loved it! The host was so nice. Our room was amazing. It was clean, comfortable and really pretty. In our room there was a private bathroom. The view from our room was also breathtaking! Breakfast was good and there were many options. We didn't have a car but it was okay. Tom the taxi driver was very helpful and drove us to Oughterard and back where we could hop on a bus! If you don't have a car please plan your trip carefully. This guesthouse was definitely worth visiting! We recommend it.……

“We enjoyed a lot our stay in Aine´s house. The house is confortable and spacious. The kitchen is big and convenient, close to the terrasse. The hot tub was appreciated at the end of the day. Kids loved to spend time with Poppy, the friendly dog ! We have visited Connemara and the aran island Inis oirr that we recommand.”

“We stayed for two nights and had a lovely, peaceful time. The food was delicious, prepared by Joyce, and we got a ton of advice and insight about the area and Ireland in general from Aidan. They were very friendly and welcoming, and the house and grounds are gorgeous and steeped in Irish history. If we ever come back to Tuam, we'd happily stay again!”
