A wonderfully unique experience!

On arrival we were amazed at the beautiful design and decor of the main building as well as the presence of the zebras grazing so close to us as we got out of our car. The hosts, Didier and Florbella, were lovely and made sure we were well looked after.The resident chefs made delicious breakfasts each morning and the food in the evening was so good we ate in for the three nights we stayed there. Our “tent”, which was really a hut with canvas walls and a thatched roof, was great - very clean and well appointed; glamping rather than camping! From our balcony we were able to see 2 giraffes on the other side of the valley too. We particularly enjoyed the free-roaming zebras, and how close they came to the building, while still being essentially wild animals. Altogether, a unique experience; one not to be missed!

Beautiful setting

This is a beautiful lodge situated on top of a hill overlooking the valley and ocean. The lodge is owned by a french couple who have really created something special. Complete serenity with hiking or bicycle trails, and only 20 min from Jeffereys Bay. Definitely first pick for Jeffereys bay area.

Wir genossen einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dieser Lodge. Vom Anfang bis zum Schluss fühlten wir uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben. Die Zebras sind der Hammer und unsere Lodge war ebenfalls traumhaft! Auch das Abendessen können wir wirklich empfehlen. Man merkt, wieviel Liebe und Herzblut in dieser Lodge steckt. Von den Besitzern und Angestellten bis zu Roxy der Haushündin. Wir werden noch lange von userem Auenthalt bei euch erzählen und weiterempfehlen.

Een prachtige plek in the middle of now where! Helaas hadden wij slecht weer maar kwamen de zebras al snel kijken toen wij arriveerden. Het was nat en koud, maar gelukkig hadden we een kachel tot onze beschikking. En konden we s’avond heerlijk eten in de lodge. Ook het ontbijt was prima! Alleen bij aankomst nog even van het uitzicht kunnen genieten.

What a wonderful surprise Zebra Lodge was. It so exceeded my expectations. The Lodge is beautiful, and the large acreage on which it sits is stunning. Stunning! The food was delicious. Our time there was indeed special, and we hope to return.

We knew seeing zebras are not guaranteed, because they are wild animals. So we were so happy that we saw 7 of them grazing in the morning right by our breakfast table! The tent cabin we were in was very private. The dinner and breakfast we had there were delicious. The owners were so friendly. They even sold us the napkin holders from our dinner table when we said we liked them and we wouldn't be able to make it to buy them where she said she bought them. Loved everything about the stay!

In splendid isolation, all recently built in a contemporary style and to a high standard, the lodges are quite large with great views and very comfortable. Reception with lounge and restaurant serves excellent freshly prepared food.

Disappointing

The lodge is beautiful and the views superb. However, we did not feel particularly welcome and the meal we had was overly expensive and of average quality, there was no choice at any point. It was difficult to find the lodge and to access you really need a 4WD SUV.

Awesome lodge with zebras right outside your windows.

Highly recommend this lodge for a wonderful SA experience, beautiful vistas and the food is 5 stars. Great location and the zebras are amazingly beautiful. The tents, cottages and main lodge are very high end and beautifully appointed. Hosts Florabella and Didier are delightful. Look forward to returning soon.
