Perfect spot for a weekend getaway from the city. The girls loves the hot tub. Too bad it was a cold day for the pool, even though it had a heater. Bonus points for the frisbee! Will definitely be coming back this summer!

Great vacation spot!

Clean, spacious property! Lots of hang out areas. Close to Cherry Beach and so many antique shops. Breweries, ice cream and coffe shops are also close by. Had a wonderful time!

Great stay for a family

The listing is very accurate. Some of the smaller beds are not very comfortable, but there are plenty of places to sleep to choose from. The pool is small but that didn’t bother our kids! We saw a ton of deer outside the fence which the kids loved.

Location was great for us. Just a few minute drive to the beach. The house has everything you may need. Train only comes by a few times a day, so it’s a non issue. There is a bakery across the road which is fantastic. The owners were very friendly and responsive. Will rebook this house again.

Family get away!

We were looking for a few days to get away with a pool and privacy, but access to restaurants, shopping etc. This property was perfect. It is EXACTLY as shown in the pictures. The property manager made sure we were supplied with everything. This place is impeccably clean with no clutter and tastefully decorated. The pool was the highlight. The water temperature was perfect and very clean. The pool house was beautiful and great to take a quick nap. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and all appliances were working well. We grilled and sat out in the lovely enclosed patio. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. This property is located in a nice area and the swedish bakery is right across the street and is fantastic for a quick breakfast and pastries. All in all a great property and we would definitely stay there again. Thank you Aqua vacation rentals!

Great spot!

Loved our stay in Harbert! We had 5 adults, all over 35. We typically spend the day at the beach, but didn’t even need to because of the pool! The pool was the perfect temperature and size. Poolside by day, hot tub and fire pit at night. Absolutely loved the outdoor area. It was my favorite part. We also were super close to Bridgman and New Buffalo. We went to Haymarket one day(awesome brewery) for lunch and New Buffalo for groceries, shopping, and restaurants. The train runs in the back at odd hours and is super loud, but nothing they can do about that. The only disappointing part was that while there is a fence around most of the property, there is an opening in the driveway, so our young dog couldn’t run free. The pool house in the back was an added bonus for poolside snacks, drinks, and bathroom. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice two story home on large lot with privacy fence and mature trees. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware, including microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Self check-in process was easy to follow. Only concern was lack of hand-rail for the stairs going up to second floor; an issue more concerning for seniors and small children. Would definitely consider staying here again given its close proximity to restaurants, stores and scenic attractions, as well as the courtious and efficient property manager who was easy to reach when we had questions and needed assistance with a minor issue.

It was an incredible location, centrally located but also felt safe and private with a huge yard. Our kids enjoyed the playground, huge yard and pool, as well as the ping pong table. The layout of the home was great for our group. We were even able to walk to a lovely bakery across the street. The beach is just a short drive away too. One thing to note that I did not realize is that there is a train that goes directly behind the house multiple times a day (and also once in the night). The kids thought it was really cool, and we would still book again, despite the train noise. We had an amazing stay and the hosts were great and so quick to respond with any question or issue that came up. Highly recommend.

Extended family of 10 had a great time. Property is accurately listed. If your group is as large as ours, you may need extra towels. Yard is immense, play set awesome. Someone was in the pool everyday. Yes, there are 4-5 trains daily and they are loud and fast, one can cone as late as 1 am. Only complaint was the two twin beds upstairs with very little support. Otherwise we loved the property.

Let me begin by saying that Aqua Rentals was very easy to work with and made the rent to vacate process very easy. I would add however that we have never rented a vacation home with more rules than we found at this home.How did we find the Harbert House? I was optimistic having read the reviews with an average of nearly 10/10. I can only assume these were family and friends or folks that have not rented often.I would submit that the listing is a bit misleading at best. This is really a 3–4-bedroom home with two full baths. What is referred to as an on-suite 5th is a cinderblock “pool house” that is unusable in the summer as there is no air conditioning (though stated as such). The usefulness is the bathroom near the pool, and it is by far the nicest and most useful bathroom on the property.We read about the train traffic which can be simply part of the experience, except it comes on regular intervals, it is a 7 am alarm and literally shakes the home. Further the house is located at a very busy intersection, so a quiet backyard is tough to come by. Oh, and the giant generator across the street that operates randomly, so loud.The house is furnished in a manner that can only be described as “rental frugal”. The kitchen is woefully under furnished for a family who cooks. The bathrooms- the upstairs is useful if under 5’ 7” tall, and the first floor is a combo bath, laundry and broom closet with no flat surfaces to place shower items. This is awkward when 4 adults ar
