Wichita Thunderbird Bowl Hotels

"This is a charming hotel right in the midst of Old Town. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance, there's a fun museum right across the street, and on Saturdays there is a farmers market across the street. The rooms appeared to be remodeled fairly recently - nicely done and very comfortable. We stayed in a queen suite. The bathroom was large and there was even a fairly large closet in addition to the kitchenette space with stovetop, sink and refrigerator. We only stayed one night, but it was nice. We did not have the breakfast buffet, but did enjoy the snacks and coffee in lobby/atrium area. Nice! BTW, it is also nice to have a free covered parking garage for your stay."

"It had a moggy smell throughout, there were stains on the comforter in one bed so we just slept together. I decided to sleep in the other bed the next night, the morning I woke up I had itchy bite marks all down my left arm and my left eye was swollen. It appears to be bug bite marks. "

"It felt more like walking into someone else's house than a vacation stay. There were dirty dishes in the oven and dishwasher, kool-aid in the fridge, the sheets were dirty, the floor was dirty, there was a dead possum in the yard. The host was very gracious and quick to respond to needs. Unfortunately I don't think the cleaning service showed up before our visit. We ended up leaving after a couple of hours instead of staying the night(s). An unfortunate damper on our trip to Wichita."
