“My family had a relaxing time in Grand rivers! The property is in walking distant of several restaurants and the river. The property host is very responsive and nice! We enjoyed our stay!”

“Liked the cottage, and the outside lights. Very quiet area. Was very disappointed that we could not fish in area. the space around our dock and several others in the area were completely dry. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful. We would rent again, but maybe a different time of the year.”

“First things first. The ownership/management was very personable and accommodating. The marina resort was very peaceful and serene. A nice fire pit behind our unit. The cottage was small but well maintained. Reasonably close to boat ramp and dock and slips. Docks were well kept. Prices were very reasonable and fair. My brother's and myself had a wonderful experience there.”

The resort is close to a lot of things (LBL, hiking,watersports, restaurants,etc.) But is still a nice, quiet place to enjoy the views. Jim was an excellent host, checking in a couple of times to see if we needed anything. We would stay there again.”

“Overall we had a positive experience staying in the Once Upon a Time Cottage. The house is much nicer inside the you would expect from the neighborhood. It is very cozy and comfortable. The yard is fenced in and well kept. The only issue we had was with the codes for unlocking the doors. The back door would not open with any of the door codes sent, and the front door opened with a code that had the wrong checkout time. We would definitely rent again.”

“We enjoyed the time we spent in the cabin. The area was quiet and peaceful but we were disappointed in that we could not fish in the lake. The growth of the plants around the perimeter of the lake prevented us from being able to fish from the bank behind the cabin. We are planning on coming up again next year if it is possible. We are getting older and our health may prevent us from coming up again. We will have to wait and see how things work out. The cabin was clean and comfortable and there……

“We enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean & nicely decorated. The hosts provided extras like snacks and a variety of coffees, hot chocolate, etc. We were close to the lake and enjoyed walking along a lakeside path. There was a lovely patio where we were able to sit & enjoy the views including a group of deer who strolled by.”

“House had everything we could possibly need or want to have a wonderful weekend. The screened porch was great for relaxing, kayaks were fun, nice little dock for fishing or stargazing. We even went for a swim! Perfectly clean and in good condition, and was near enough to go to Metropolis and Paducah for entertainment. There's a dollar store in Brookport for all of the items one inevitably forgets to pack. XD”
