Such an adorable little cottage! We visit Netarts every so often to visit family and this cottage is convenient and offers easy access to Netarts Bay, Tillamook, and other fun areas. Clean property, quiet except for some minor road noise in the front bedroom (and Thursday night Karaoke at the Upstairs Bar across the street!), super cute and comfy. Would definitely stay again. Minor bit: pots and bowls weren’t clean when we arrived but has been put back in the cabinets, so we had to wash a few dishes. Also no AC but with windows open it was super comfy. Great place!

Great place to orient myself

I came here with some baggage to unload. This house was an absolute sanctuary. I had peace and quiet, and when I needed it I could always get some socializing at the upstairs bar and grill across the street.

Nice spot in Netarts!

The Salty Dog is exactly as pictured, but larger than the photos make it look. Very spacious and comfortable place, with tons of daylight in the living room and kitchen. Our dog enjoyed sniffs in the large back yard, which is fenced but not ultra-secure if you have an escape artist. The traffic on the Netarts Hwy was busy in the day, quiet at night, and pretty easy to ignore with some music on.

Netarts getaway

We love visiting Netarts with the Three Capes to explore. The Salty Dog was a perfect location. Very comfortable and had everything you could need while on vacation. We hope to come back again soon.

Just right

What an absolute gem! We loved this house and the BIG backyard. Great kitchen with everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of blankets to keep warm on cold beach nights. By far, our favorite part of the house was the front porch/entryway. It was nice to have a place to put all of our sandy shoes and coats before going into the house. Awesome collection of board games and kids books.

Vacation visiting family

Comfortable, clean, with every amenity one could need within walking distance to the beach. The grandkids spent a few nights with us and were quite comfortable and there were plenty of board games and a big back yard to play. We will be back!

Light, bright cottage

The Salty Dog Cottage is a lovely place to stay. We chose it for the fenced yard which our dogs loved. The cottage is clean and bright and we look forward to returning!

Netarts bay trip

Nice house with all you need. We used the BbQ outside. And garge for our coolers and clamming gear. Huckleberries and Blackberrys on property. Comfortable beds and great towels.

House

The house was fine but doesnt really have any dishes to cook with. The skillets are peeling so cant be used without getting the nonstick coating flakes in your food. Has couple of old cookie sheets and 1 large pan and 1 small and nothing else. No real place to eat as the stools for counter are super small and basically child size. If they didnt have a back on them it would be easier to try and fit on them. The house was clean but the refrigerator had the whole door filled with food people had left like 3 containers of mustard, 3 catsup, jellies and various other things. I threw about half of it away as it was expired. If bring a dog, check all the gates in the back yard before let yours out as not all were closed all the way.

Lovely coastal stay

We had a wonderful stay at the Salty Dog Cottage! The house was very clean, light and welcoming, and comfortable. We walked down to the beach multiple times a day and enjoyed some home cooked meals. It was the perfect little getaway for our family.

Best cozy cottage!

My family and I stayed here for five days, and we couldn't have had a better experience. It was our first time traveling with our almost-two-year-old; one of the bedrooms even had blackout curtains which were great for her naps! The only two things to suggest would be to bring your own crab/clam utensils (if that's something you're into), and expect not to have too much hot water. I think it's just a small tank, so two or three people couldn't take a hot shower right after another. No big deal though. Overall, it was a perfectly cozy and accommodating home for us to stay in for the week!

Cute cottage with great layout

My wife and I really enjoyed the cottage. It was nice to come home at the end of the day and feel like you are at home versus a rental. As many have already said, the kitchen is very well stocked and there was plenty of room for our dog in the backyard. Love the town of Netarts. It did t have the touristy feel and Tillamook was just a short distance away. There is a nice Safeway in Tillamook, so getting groceries is very accessible, so next time we won’t need to pack as much coming in. Also, if you like fresh oyster, there is a very nice oyster farm less than 10 minutes away. Some of the best we have eaten. This is a great get away place for those visiting the Oregon Coast.

Wonderful , comfortable cottage.

This was as good and better than advertised. Was able to show up and settle in to relax immediately. The large fenced yard was great for our Great Dane as well as us with a table, chairs and BBQ.. Kitchen had all the basics for spices, condiments and more. It was just a short walk to the beach. We had great weather so was able to be outside for majority of time, but there were books, games and a Smart TV that had Netflix access for if stuck inside. Bed was very comfortable. Would stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Amazing first visit to the Oregon Coast

The town of Netarts, Oceanside and Tillamook were quaint and relaxing! We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly people we met and the weather! We ate at local small restaurants and loved all of them! The house was just as described! It was clean, neat and had everything we needed. All the way down to a basket that had throw blankets and a couple of dog toys! The yard is amazing! The fence kept our dog safe while he ran around the yard and my boys had lots of space to throw a baseball! These CA folks will be back - no doubt! It was a perfect 6 day vacation!

Lovely Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Salty Dog Cottage. It was very clean and beautifully remodeled. We ended up cooking more than going out. There were the perfect spices and condiments to use to make shopping and cooking easy. There were blankets for everyone to use while watching a movie. I love how there were hooks to hang coats and plenty of space to put your stuff. The only thing that I might suggest is putting 2 single beds in one of the rooms as this would’ve made it easier if we had brought my Mom. Otherwise, it was perfect!
