“Really unique vibe! The bungalow sits directly aback from the main Oceanside General Parking lot. Some confusion getting checked in. The town of Oceanside has no cell signal, and upon arriving I needed to call to get the room info, but no cell signal. Or pay phones etc. I dug through my emails and discovers I was supposed to go back into town to this other hotel. Drove there and got the info to unlock the lock box. Room itself was cozy and had everything but was definitely older and had that……

“Don't stay here. I'd spend the small amount more per night and go to Surfside Resort down the street... which is what we did. The room was gross- a 2-inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor at the entrance. The kitchen was noticeably slanted downhill, and the bathroom had a cardboard sign in the window that said "do not open..." (clearly it didn't work, but that sign has been there a long time, too, given the water marks on the cardboard). The fridge had noticeable dust, brown……
