I stayed at La Antara Hotel, Thiruchendur, and unfortunately, the Premium Suite was not worth the ₹7,500 per night price.
The room cleanliness and maintenance were very disappointing. The bathroom and toilet had a strong, unpleasant smell, similar to a blocked toilet or drainage issue. While taking a shower, the drain water also remained on the bathroom floor instead of draining properly. When we switched on the fan in the room, dust came down all over the bed, which was extremely unpleasant and clearly showed poor housekeeping.
The hot water was not hot enough, and the furniture was dusty and dirty. For ₹7,500 per night, I expected much better cleanliness, maintenance, and overall quality.
Our experience at the restaurant was also disappointing. We went there with our daughter, who only eats naan and does not eat curry or other dishes. We ordered naan for her, but one of the staff members told us that we were required to order additional food even if we were not going to eat it. We found this approach unreasonable and were uncomfortable with the way it was communicated. The manager later told us that we could order just naan, but by then we had already decided to leave the restaurant without eating.
Overall, the room quality, cleanliness, maintenance, and restaurant experience did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price we paid. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both housekeeping and customer service.
