Ski getaway

This property is amazing. Pictures are accurate and this house has all the amenities we could have needed. Excellent location to stay if you are doing some skiing at Lutsen, hiking at nearby trails or state parks or just a quiet getaway.

Another incredible stay!

This was our fourth year in a row staying here for our "Up North" girls weekend and we are booked for next year as well. The house is absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group. Beautiful Property

This cozy lodge nestled in the woods overlooking Lake Superior was even better than the listing! Great location, beautiful home, and so many personal touches throughout. A peaceful spot, but close to many attractions. A great place to spend with family and friends without ever leaving! Probably one of the most relaxing vacations we have been on. A definite stay again! :)

Yearly Gathering (approx 40 years) of Old High School Friends

We all absolutely loved the place and location. We try to get to the North Shore of Lake Superior as often as we can for our yearly get-together. This VRBO home was definitely in the top 5. It was clean, well stocked, beautifully decorated, great location to many hiking trails, attractions in the area, and shopping needs. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable. The views were spectacular. We lucked out with perfect weather. We would definitely stay here again with no hesitation.

Beautiful

This was our second time staying at the Sawtooth Mountain Hideaway. We had 6 adults and 5 kids. There was plenty of space for us. We all looked forward to being back on the North Shore at this property all year! It’s so, so pretty inside and out. The view is amazing and the location is convenient. Linda was really quick to respond to messages and very accommodating. We will be back!

Fee Fee Fee All Tricks.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.. The most shocking part of working with VRBO is they Fee you to death. I hate a crying, merciful, Break down of fees. Fees for this, fees for that. And they are all put on my bill. It is not even close to what you have on the rental add. I hope the owner knows how much VRBO is getting from the owners. I as a person who took interest, am really disappointed. We lined up eight people to enjoy PROPERTY 1333056. We divided the listed price buy eight people. Just to find many more little fees that we did not tell the friends of ours. Did not see them at this point. Then when we booked it we found many more fees. Made the bill close to 25% higher. We as the people lining this up got stuck with those fees. Lots of hiding the true prices. There is absolutely no need for all this when they take so much DOWN money. Then they want insurance to buy with a very poor backing out program. I will not say I am not going to us VRBO again. But I am going to E-Mail the owner to make sure this is what they want. It sure looks like VRBO is cleaning up on the home owners. The hiden fees are not only hiden. They are big money. I am 59 years old and am going to take more Vacations. Brian Maertens

Perfect winter get away

Our firsts impression left us joyful. Beautiful with all the comforts. Organized, easy to find things and know where to put them back. Had everything we needed, and the supplies were quality. That makes everything easier. Nicely decorated for Christmas, we stayed just days before. Had all the things needed for a great stay. Could not have asked for a better experience. Absolutely delighted.

Beautiful home and great location for girls weekend!

We enjoyed this amazing property for our girls weekend of 9 ladies. The location was excellent as we wanted to spend a day in Grand Maris and Lutsen. The house had plenty of space for our group and all the amenities you would need and not just starter kits, they had enough dish washer pods, paper towels, etc. We made dinner at the house each day and found the kitchen fully stocked with everything we needed. The view cannot be beaten, it was amazing! You could see the lake from the house and it was gorgeous. Linda was great and handled our reservation, we appreciated her quick response on the one item we were looking for. Excellent all around, would highly recommend it.

Another Fantastic Stay!

This was our sixth stay at Sawtooth Mountain Hideaway! The owners and property manager continue to be all over the details, making it a true home away from home. We love that it's so well stocked full of cozy pillow and blankets and all the kitchen items we need to prepare yummy meals to feed our family of six for a week. We're looking forward to our next visit, it can't come soon enough!

Another incredible stay!

Our annual girls trip to the Sawtooth Mountain Hideaway was a success once again. Walking into the house feels like home. Perfect location to all the fun things-sauna in Grand Marais, Lutsen alpine slide and gondola, North Shore Winery, and E bikes. As always the property is impeccably clean and fully stocked. We loved our bonfires at night and coffee on the deck in the mornings. We even saw a bear this year driving on the road to the house. So fun! We will be back as always!
