Spring break getaway

This was a wonderful property - so comfortable and relaxing with an incredible view. The hosts were excellent. We have spent a lot of time on the North Shore and this location is a new favorite.

Great rental near Lutsen Ski Resort and MN State Parks

My family stayed at this lovely rental for four nights, including skiing at Lutsen and hiking nearby State Parks. The view of Lake Superior is amazing. The home layout is great for a family, with two bedrooms up and one on the lower walkout level. Each bedroom has its own bath. The decor is "up-north style," with the living area having a gas fireplace and the lower level a gas stove. Very clean, with all kitchen, games, and entertainment necessities that have been thought through and provided! We would stay here again!

Family fun time

We enjoyed the proximity to the lake, the great views from the great room, the space for game play in the basement, and all the balconies. Upstairs was hot the week we were there, but otherwise perfect.

Great location and very nice

Beautiful place to stay. The kitchen had everything you need. Great whirlpool bath in master bedroom. Beds very comfy. Only wish checkout was about a hour later. Easy to get a hold of property owner too.

Perfect North Shore Get-away

Everything about Loon Lodge was as expected for our short family vacation. The location was central to many of the surrounding state parks and allowed for relatively easy access to Lake Superior (I say “relatively” as the stairs to the beach were quite steep for the more senior family members - 80+ yrs old). The accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful home, Special details

The view from most of the rooms was spectacular. We were spoiled with the high-end appliances. House was very well stocked. We appreciated the coffee/hot choc/tea selection. The baby got to enjoy his new chair and toys in the jacuzzi. His mom and aunt (in bathing suits) joined him and even had spa robes to relax in after. Wonderful

My family (3 kids, grandma, 2 adults) and I loved the house! It was spacious and well equipped! The beds were extremely comfortable! The view was perfect! Rick was always quick to respond!

Loon Lodge

Our group of 4 have been going up to the North Shore for over 25 years. Staying at Loon Lodge was a great place to stay. We literally only needed to bring clothes and food for our stay. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed--spices, etc. The view was outstanding as Lake Superior was outside of the kitchen/living room as well as the master bedroom. We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend Loon Lodge.

The unit was perfect for our visit; very clean; very easy to use and enjoy all the outside deck space! Well equipped so that we cooked most of our meals. The only negative was that the hot tub was out of service. The view of Lake Superior was gorgeous!

40th anniversary with Family

We had lovely time with our kids and Grandkids hiking, fishing , biking, and paddle boarding. The house was spacious with fantastic views and lanais. The owner communicates well, and was clean. The location is right in the middle of many things to take in! Would love to return!

Amazing family celebration!

My husband and I, my 2 adult kids and their others celebrated our son proposing to his girlfriend on the way up to Tofte! It was a pristine, inviting home for us to be together as a family! Loved the games, fireplace, decks, location, decor and appreciated the timely communication! The kids want to do it again!

Wonderful Property!!!

This home was beautiful! We stayed with our adult children, grandchild and dog. The home had plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortable and room for people to find their own space. Each couple had their own bathroom to use and the kitchen had everything needed to cook a fabulous meal. The decks have beautiful views of the lake and sunrises. This is a fabulous property. We are headed back next year!

The place is very pretty, nice views. I feel the on line listing is misleading, you find out the room limitations after the first step of reservation. It lists a hot tub amenity, a jetted tub is not a hot tub. Receiving multiple texts almost every day of your stay is annoying. I don't want to fill out a survey about the cleanliness when I'm on my trip. The fire place vent blower is LOUD, didn't use the fireplace b/c its so noisy. Pipes rattle in the walls when you flush the master toilet. The jetted tub is a racket through the house if you use it. And too many cleaning instructions/jobs.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

My mother, sister and I truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful townhome. Having a garage is a great bonus and made it really easy to unload (especially if you have rain). I've rented somewhere between 32-35 VRBO and Airbnb vacation properties over the years (including some in Europe) and found this home to be exceptionally clean, spacious and well stocked. The unobstructed views of Lake Superior are amazing and listening to the waves crash against the shore below was so relaxing. I really appreciated how easy it was to connect with Rick, the owner. He was very accessible and kind to answer our questions during our stay. Thank you! Karen
