"Finca Viva La Vida is a little gem in the hills of Alora. The property is beautiful. The rooms are tastefully designed, excellent water pressure with very hot water (if you like) and a comfortable bed!
The pool area is nice and relaxing and positioned to receive sun most of the day - a great place to relax after a hike.
The breakfast courtyard might be my favorite - very serene, comfortable, beautifully decorated - a great place not only for breaktfast, but also to read a book, write, etc.

"Another consistently excellent stay at The Residence. Super attention to detail. Rooms are excellent, the private pool is lovely, staff are attentive and the breakfast is amazing. Wonderful housekeeping lady and we feel safe and well looked after. Only request would be to have beach beds included or at a reduced rate for residents! "

"The hotels beautiful, clean and staff are friendly. Don't worry about the road next to the hotel as rooms are all at back and no noise at all. Gym was very good as well. We will return.
Only negative is that the service at the pool bar could be slow at times with food and drink orders when seated at tables."
"Ideally located opposite the beach and marina, with supermarkets, shops and bars all within easy walking distance. We booked half board and, despite arriving after 10pm, were pleasantly surprised to find lovely plated salads and cheese boards waiting for us in the restaurant.
The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and engaging. There was entertainment in the bar each evening which seemed popular, although it wasn’t really our thing. Drinks in the bar were also very reasonably priced.
The food was good overall with plenty of choice at meal times. The pool area is on the smaller side, but we never struggled to get sunbeds. Pool bar food was also good, with a varied menu and attentive service.
We stayed in a Triple Deluxe Sea View room for three adults and it felt surprisingly spacious, with a good-sized balcony and large bathroom — although the sliding bathroom door was definitely more style over substance and slightly annoying!
As we had an evening flight home, we were able to pay for a late check-out until 6pm, which was really helpful. The hotel also allowed us to store our luggage for an extra hour before we left for the airport.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay. Great location, friendly staff and good value for money. We would definitely recommend the hotel and would happily return."
"We recently stayed at the Wyndham Costa del Sol and overall had a comfortable experience. The room itself was great — clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a large bed, TV, balcony, washing machine, and kitchenette. The sea view we requested was also provided, which we appreciated. However, the kitchenette was quite limited in terms of equipment, making it difficult to cook properly during our stay.
One downside was that our accommodation required climbing three flights of stairs with heavy suitcases, which wasn’t ideal after a long journey. It would have been helpful to have easier access, especially for tired guests or those with mobility concerns.
The resort itself has a nice, peaceful atmosphere and offers that relaxing “resort feel.” However, it is very large, so having a car is almost essential to get around conveniently. There is a small resort train/shuttle service that goes around the complex, but we found it extremely slow — it can take close to an hour just to get around the resort — so personally, I wouldn’t recommend relying on it. We also found it confusing on arrival, as the reception was located separately from our accommodation, and we initially struggled to find it. Parts of the resort also feel quite outdated and could benefit from refurbishment.
The check-in and check-out times were another frustration. Check-in at 4pm and check-out at 10am felt restrictive, particularly since the pool closes at 6pm and many amenities shut early. By the time we checke"
"Breakfast is excellent. Plenty to choose from and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Option to sit outside
Plenty of very helpful staff
Well maintained pool are with comfortable loungers and a part of the beach is sectioned off for hotel guests.
Bedrooms are spacious and well equipped and bathroom is great. We were lucky to have a bath tub and a separate shower. Also lovely Molton brown toiletries.
Great linen and super comfortable beds

"A very pleasant and historical hotel. Decor and architecture were top notch. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There were nice seating areas both upstairs and downstairs outside. Pool and bar were very good. The staff were very good and the restaurant staff very friendly and pleasant. Frank and Laura some of our servers were very professional and friendly and the food was good and well priced. There was a serviceable gym.
The hotel was outside the main part of Malaga about 35 minutes away but there was a bus 19 every 30 minutes.
The bus stop was via the back of the hotel across an industrial area. We were lucky that we came in by bus from the city as it is not obvious.
The main reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is that the location is in an industrial area with no walkable activities outside the hotel. Access walking across the industrial park looked uncared for with overgrown grass and minimal lighting. Breakfast was also not included in our booking. "
