Great cabin!

This cabin is very cozy and comfortable. No complaints whatsoever. Great communication with the host, has everything you will need to enjoy your time away from everything and be able to relax.

Awesome Place!

Beautiful cabin that was stocked with everything we needed, comfortable beds and an incredible view! Conveniently located to many outdoor activities like whitewater rafting, ziplining, hiking, etc. Really enjoyed our stay and Albert was great to work with.

Quick getaway for a rafting trip

Great location. Steep gravel driveway… took us a while to get the hang of getting up the driveway in the dark without spinning out… but we did it! Beautiful views. Comfy beds. Will stay again if we get the chance.

Nice Cabin w/ Mountain View

We enjoyed our stay very much in this clean and comfortable cabin. The owner was very responsive to any questions and gave us plenty of information to prepare for our stay. The view was great, there is ample outdoor seating and the cabin itself was in very good condition.

We loved our weekend in the mountains. The cabin was secluded but the views were amazing. The owner was easy to get ahold of and the cabin had everything.

As Advertised & Enjoyable

Very nice property. Secluded. Clean and well-furnished. The gravel road is steep but not too long and we had no trouble getting up/down with a 4-door sedan (this was in the summer with only a little rain over the 3 days we stayed). Host was responsive and helpful.

Much needed respite

Beautiful, well-appointed property with a magnificent view. Great hiking in the area, easy and challenging, and property owner provided helpful information about places to fish. Thank you for making your cabin available to us. We would return in a heartbeat.

Perfect mountain view for outdoor fun

Our family of 4 loved this cabin. The view was exactly as pictured with a great deck to enjoy it from. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We stayed for a week, so enjoyed having the extra loft space for our boys and a full kitchen. The owner was very responsive for quick questions. Location is very close to all of the Nantahala activities- rafting/hiking/biking/lakes.

Beautiful and Serene

This cabin is in a wonderful location. The views are amazing. I loved sitting out in the morning and enjoying my coffee in this absolutely peaceful setting. It is just down the road from the Nantahala Outdoor Center and a short drive to Bryson City. The host was extremely responsive when we had any questions or issues. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Beautiful view

Make sure you are driving an AWD vehicle. We couldn’t get up the hill. 😬 Spectacular view and well equipped kitchen. Loved the fire pit area.

Incredible Mountain Cabin

This cabin far exceeded all expectations! The property is private and has stunning views. The fire pit and decks and hot tub offer multiple outside areas to enjoy time together. The cabin is fully stocked with everything I needed, way more than most VRBO homes. While this was so peaceful and remote, it’s a very short drive from NOC and each day we enjoyed the activities around and on the Nantahala River, then a quick drive “home” for a little rest by the fire pit. I will be coming back again soon, this was a special place…

Look no further, BEST CABIN EVER!!

We booked this cabin due to its seclusion and view of the Smoky Mountains. It met every expectation we had on our "Must Have" list - cleanliness, a kitchen with everything we needed to cook our Whole30 menu, Wifi and a TV to keep up with March Madness, an outside eating area and a fire pit, a hot tub, and quiet areas inside and out to read or take a nap. Not only that, there were short hikes, a mountain stream, gorgeous sunrises, and a very romantic setting. We LOVED it!

Loved it!

Wonderful cabin! My husband and I enjoyed the views and the quiet time together. Spending our nights by the fire pit was a favorite of ours. Of all the places we have rented over the years together, this cabin had the best pots and pans ever! Weird thing to say but we cook in a lot and I appreciated the quality of the cookware - not the usual rental stuff. Thank you!

We really enjoyed the property but we're frustrated with the road to get there.

The cabin is very comfortable and well appointed with a spectacular view. The one lane access road needs better maintence. Damp conditions plus leaves made climbing a 30 degree road a true challenge. The cabin is tasteful and very clean. The fire pit and the hot tub were added bonuses. I really loved the property but the road needs immediate work.

Great Birthday Getaway!

The home is just what our family of 6 was looking for to celebrate our sons birthday (16) and wife’s birthday ! Great tranquil setting that allowed us to get away from our crazy daily lives. The VIEWS are amazing and to have those views require you to drive up steep roads - we knew that coming in and did not have a problem with the one lane gravel road . We did have a bear sighting (Momma and baby) driving on our way down the “long and winding driveway” one evening that we all wished we had the camera ready . The house is a well appointed cozy mountain house. The kitchen is well stocked and provided us with all the necessary items. The views are what make this house special and the double deck that allows you to enjoy the tremendous Gorge scenery is well worth the cost of rental . Our kids enjoyed building fires in the large fire pit on the lower deck and enjoying the views from the second deck hot tub. S’mores every night was a hit ! On top of all mentioned, the owner is so responsive and concerned that you had a great vacation . Best owner VRBO experience we have ever had ! Thank you Dr A. for allowing our family to spend a memorable long weekend at your place . We will return!

Seclusion

Location was exactly what we were looking for.The host was exceptional . He took care of some unforseen and unavoidable issue with the Jacuzzi while he was at Disney with his family.

Lost River Lodge

My husband and I have always loved the Nantahala area and were looking for a relaxing getaway. The Lost River Lodge was just the place! The view from the deck was amazing, especially in the morning and evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, hammock, fire pit, and the peace and quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked. We had one disastrous breakfast one morning when we couldn't find any nonstick frying pans and tried to cook eggs and hash browns in a regular metal pan. If I had texted the host sooner, we would have known there were 3 nonstick frying pans "hiding" in the stove drawer directly under the oven.😣 The cabin was very clean and the furniture comfortable. The main floor bedroom's bed was a little too soft for us and a bit squeaky, but not a show stopper. The road leading up to the cabin was a bit overgrown with brambles, but passable. AWD is definitely a big help getting up the steep incline. Albert, the host, was very responsive to any questions and even reached out a couple of times just to check on us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thanks, Albert, for sharing your lovely cabin and view!

A perfect hideaway to escape the world

From start to finish, the host was a dream to communicate with. The cabin is clean, comfortable and perfectly appointed. The view of Nantahala Gorge is breathtaking and star gazing at night was a beautiful way to end each day, as was the roaring fire in the gorgeous fire pit. I highly recommend this cabin if you want to get away from it all and spend quality time with the person/people in your life. Thank you, Dr. A! We will definitely be back!

The closest thing to Heaven!

Magical cabin

Best place I’ve rented, by a mile! The scenery was breathtaking, and the cabin beautiful, well-appointed, and meticulously clean. The host was lovely to communicate with- very responsive, clear, and friendly. Everything as pictured. I loved it and will book again as my schedule allows.
