「Lovely accommodation in a stunning location, perched on the side of a hill, overlooking Monmouth. Barn was comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed, and a thoughtful welcome package of local produce and a personalised card. Spectacular view from all the rooms, plus the odd sheep strolling past. Access via the footpath wasn't as far as we'd imagined, and happening across the gate to the property felt like something out of a Tolkien tale.We had an excellent takeaway from Misbah...

「Lovely place, with plenty of space for all 17 of us. Check in was easy, and we were grateful for the little extras that were left for us on arrival. Everything you need for a big party of you (cups, plates, glasses etc)Sightly disappointed in the rooms though. The downstairs rooms all smelt of sewage, not sure if the septic tank was due to be emptied but it wasn't pleasant! Also found that the property needed a really thorough clean. A lot of cobwebs, dust and the floors in the bathrooms...

「We recently stayed here and overall had a pleasant visit,with a few areas that could benefit from some attention.On the positive side,the property is in a great location,especially being so close to Caerphilly Castle.The WiFi was reliable throughout our stay,and the heating worked very well,which made it nice and cosy.The space itself is cute and you can see there has been effort put into making it feel welcoming and comfortable.There are just a few maintenance and housekeeping points worth...

「The Rectory was a wonderful location for our annual family birthday/get together. Everything was perfect and Jane left us a lovely card and birthday cake which was much appreciated. We all loved the log fire in the evening while we played board games and it was great to have a table everyone could sit around and eat together. The grandchildren loved the pool and picking apples from the orchard for apple pie. It was an idyllic retreat. 」

「This was actually the most HORRIFIC experience I've ever had at a property rental. I would highly recommend you DO NOT book this property. Multiple reasons:-I clearly stated & registered my pet cat. Less than 24 hours prior to my check-in, when I was well on my way to the property, I received an email requesting 20 as a pet fee be sent to bank details.
