“The vintage cottage was quite charming. Our family enjoyed the close proximity to Isle of Skye and the tranquility of being nestled in the woods after a full day of exploring. As others have stated - the views were beautiful, even in the rain!Host communications was excellent. They provided clear instructions and a list of things to see and do in the area. Home is close to groceries and dining options. Kitchen is stocked with all of the essentials. Beds are comfortable and extra blankets are……

“Wenn man das Haus betritt, stellt man zunächst fest, dass die Räumlichkeiten schon deutlich in die Jahre gekommen sind. Bis auf die Bäder wurde hier lange nicht mehr renoviert. Wenn man dann allerdings in die erste Etage kommt und die grandiose Aussicht durch die riesige Panoramascheibe des Wohnzimmers genießen kann, dann sind die Zimmer schnell nebensächlich. Die Kinder haben es sehr genossen, den ganzen Tag in der kleinen Bucht direkt am Wasser zu spielen und jede Menge Jakobsmuscheln……

“We spent a wonderful week in Moriston Cottage despite the rain. Everything was very clean and the cottage is very well equipped, we had everything we needed. There is everything in the kitchen if you want to cook and lots of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The beds are very comfortable. There is a lovely enclosed back garden which is good if you have a dog. There are plenty of really good restaurants in walking distance, and a lot more if you want to drive there (Applecross Inn, Gille……

“This was our best stay on our whole trip to Scotland. While, it was a little off the beaten path, it provided a quiet, cosy oasis after we had been staying in towns in lodges without parking for our car. Achmore had ample parking on site. Ida met us at our car and showed us to our room while loading more fire wood in the pot belly stove in room. It was a lovely site as we walked in! So warm and cosy. The apartment was spacious with a full kitchen. We cooked dinner and Ida had even left us a wee……

So, if you wanna go back to the time when people spent their holidays in style, this is for you! 4 storey house with table tennis, snooker and dart in the basement, drawing room, dinner hall (the stag room) and kitchen on ground floor, then 2 storeys with bedrooms for 20 people. Like 9 bathtubs and bathrooms. You can fish salmon and trouts in the waters on the estate. Staghunting, my doughter shot a 82 kg beast. Close to interesting places like Loch Ness, Skye,……
