“This home was a wonderful place to gather with our family and some close friends for our Wedding Anniversary. The home is absolutely beautiful and has quality furnishings and amazing art !! We ended up with a brisk and rainy weekend but it was not spoiled because there is so much to do onsite (billiard pool, shuffle board, pinball games, card table and lots of games, hot tub and several tv’s for sport events). There is an awesome workout area complete with sauna and steam room. We felt like……

“Not a complaint but to let you know the front left burner on the stove is very slow in heating up. Also you have an outlet in the living room without a cover on it. Overall we enjoyed the stay, even went kayaking in the rain when we got there. Also checked out the falls you mentioned in your guide and checked out the local eating establishments.”

“My husband and I come to Indian River often as his family has had property here for decades. We love it so much up here that when we got engaged, we could only imagine having our wedding here! We wanted a place of our own over the weekend and it was the perfect location for us. It’s right by town, so you can walk to everything from ice cream at Drost’s or Dairy Mart to breakfast at Christopher’s Cafe to Northland Brewery for yummy beers! The home was clean when we arrived and was fully stocked……

“My wife and sons and I stayed here and used it as a base of operations for day trips (Mackinac Island, St. Ignace, Cheboygan). It was great! Homey and comfortable. The fire pit was great, the host provided firewood (plus there’s tons to be gathered in the nearby woods). Kitchen was very nicely equipped for a northern Michigan cabin, we cooked breakfast and dinner every day. Lastly, it was nice watching the deer eat from the fruit trees on the other side of the road. Would recommend!”

“This place was awesome and had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay: cooking space and utensils, access to the lake, space for the kids, plenty of towels, Internet and tv, a kayak, a dock onto the lake, a porch swing… The fire pit and the sunset lake views made it extra magical. The only downside was the lack of ventilation/cooled air to the second story where most of the beds were. A big thank you to Jimmy for hosting us here and we are looking forward to our next planned stay……

“2 bedroom cabin right on the water. Very clean and cozy. House comes with nice furniture, new applances, TVs and comfortanle beds. Each room has a great view over the lake. House has 2 kayaks, hot tub, boat access, fire pit. Hiking and biking trail access. House is pet friendly and owner very nice and helpful. Lots of information on sightseeing and restaurants. Will definitively come again to this wonderful cabin.”
