“quiet sanctuary close to Woodstock and saugerties”

“We were looking for a quiet getaway and found it! The house is updated, immaculate and fully appointed. It is well laid out with very comfortable furniture. There is a deck with a forest and a pond in the backyard, and a short walk through the forest to a creek. Very peaceful, with things to do in the area.”

“Many problems with this listing, first the fire alarm was low on battery, I had to physically climb to reach the smoke detector to detach and remove the battery, a sharp beeping noise went off every 90 seconds and we wouldn’t have been able to sleep without stopping it. There were no spare batteries to change. There were spiders everywhere. My friend used the shower and saw 11 of them moving around the ceiling. They were in the main bed and on the counter and sink as well. The tenant was nice……

“Fine, elegant, house. A great departure from one’s daily life. Great layout but could use more lighting. There were old quirks about the house but it made it more unique. Some doors don’t shut and will rattle when windows are open. Could use a griddle or larger pans/more baking sheets. The property is gorgeous and the crisp air was refreshing. Lovely experience and would book again!”

“If I could give this place six stars I would. We had a wonderful long weekend in Woodstock here. The house is cozy and lovely — we spent our weekend cooking, sitting by the fireplace reading, and watching movies. It was heavenly. The property manager, Robyn, went above and beyond — she was very communicative about a winter storm and made sure that we were all set!”
